Hello and Welcome all!

Today I’m very lucky to be interviewing Peiri Ann author of Burdened.

Hi Peiri Ann, thank you for agreeing to this interview.

Thank you for having me!

Tell us a little about yourself and your background?

I am an avid reader who loves to write and rock to music all day long. If the music is not playing I’m badly singing it. I have a five year old little girl whose name is Namia, she’s my heart. I’m free spirited and easy going always looking at the brighter side of things. So, about my background. I’ve been in school forever, I could never learn too much. I’ve worked forever, I need to pay the bills and take care of the kid. I have always read book, of course, but I really started reading all the time (and everything) about ten years ago. I had a really rough childhood during my middle age, teenage, years 18 – 22. I’m 24 by the way. But, things were bad and I found out (after speaking with a few psychiatrists) because of the things that happened to me, my brain was too active. I needed to do something to calm me and keep my mind focused on one thing at a time. Or I’d go haywire and that was good for nobody. Anyway, so, I started reading and writing. It’s been working ever since. I’ve been writing since age 13, poetry, short stories, and novels. My poetry and short stories have been published in school publication and Burdened is my first novel published.

What do you do when you are not writing?

When I am not writing I am working (I have another job too) or spending an abundant amount of time with my daughter.

Where do you get your ideas?

Great question. Honestly, as I write they just come to me. It’s weird, but I don’t think about them first. They just bleed off my fingers onto the computer screen. But from the that scene or character or plot, I usually just piggyback off that.

What are your ambitions for your writing career?

I want to publish an exciting story that people of its genre and others would love to read continuously. Maybe hitting best-selling series status along the way.

Is there any particular author or book that influenced you in any way wither growing up or as an adult?

I am still searching for this book. I haven’t read it yet.

So, what have you written?

Burdened is my first book publically published. I’ve received – in high school – the 2005 achievement award in writing.

What project are you working on now?

Currently I’m finishing The Burdened Novel Series – on the last book and I personally think it is a crazy ride. And I’m working on another series The Diminish Trilogy, this one might be a little crazier

Can you tell us about your book?

Of course. Burdened is an unpredictable story, designed to comfort you into thinking the life with a burdened Sephlem is all smiles, hugs, kisses, and good sex. When in reality, it is actually all that with the worse type of betrayal, the funniest (Sarcasm) / pointless type of lies (that will probably end with someone trying to kill themselves), the most detrimental tease of a tainted destiny, and because within all evil lies good and love. Remembering that alone, helps Tracey and Nathan (the heroine and hero) get through it.

Give us an insight into your main character. What does he/she do that is so special?

Tracey (the heroine) is confident and fearless. She meets Nathan who is a demon tainted Sephlem. But in mating/bonding with him she gain some pretty cool abilities, fire snakes, night vision, heat vision, and something special that even she can’t explain yet. Her special quality is she keeps Nathan controlled. And nobody wants to see Nathan out of control.

Is anything in you booked based on real life experiences or purely all imagination?

When I first started writing Burdened I thought it was all imagination, and then I looked at the home life of Tracey with her mother and father and realized how close to home it really hit. That was a total accident.

Is there anything that you would like to say to your readers and fans?

I hope you all love reading Burdened as much as I loved writing it. Feel free to contact me with any questions or for more insight.

Thank you very much for taking the time out of your busy schedule to take part in this interview. I hope everyone has enjoy learning more about Peiri Ann and her book Burdened.

More About The Author

A love for reading transpired into an admiration for writing at a young age for Peiri Ann. Starting off in writing poetry and short stories she indulged in the possibilities of creating new worlds and lives to live within them opening a window of unanticipated possibilities. In high school a pin and notebook never left her grasps and in college the pin was replaced by a keyboard and the notebook replaced by a computer screen. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and certified in business management.

When Peiri Ann is not writing, reading, doing homework, or working in the downtown of Chicago she enjoys spending time with her little girl, watching action flicks, and spooning peanut butter from the jar as a midnight snack.

Tracey Warren has everything an eighteen year old girl should. She lives a life of expectancies; go to school, please her parents, party with friends, and revel in life as a young adult.

That is until she experiences an unexpected life changing accident caused by Nathan Newcomb; an illegally attractive yet perplexed guy who has her fumbling over her words and cracking her head on the concrete. In being enthralled by his overwhelming existence, Tracey neglects his promise of death (which never falls short of Nathan) and in ignoring his guarantee, she chooses to give into love over sanity and risks her life for the opportunity of being with him.

Nathan, knowing the risks gives into this want to have Tracey presuming it may be better to jeopardize their possible ending, than to allow her to endure the pain of his devoid. Nonetheless, with him being a burdened Sephlem, not only are they burdened by their adversaries who will risk everything but the exposure of their existence to see Nathan fall. But Nathan and Tracey come to find that their most sinister enemies lie under their same roof and regrettably share the same bloodline.
