Pia Saves The Day

(Goodreads)

In the latest story of the Elder Races, two mates face their deadliest challenge yet—each other…

Pia and Dragos’s magical young son Liam (the Peanut), is growing at an unprecedented rate, and if that isn’t enough, he is also exhibiting new, and unpredictable, magical gifts. To protect him, the concerned parents decide to move to upstate New York.

Both Dragos and Pia relish the idea of leaving behind the city. They finally have the space to indulge their Wyr side, and Liam can grow in safety. It’s a breath of fresh air—literally—but their idyllic situation is shattered when Dragos is injured in a freak accident.

Stripped of his memory and bereft of Pia’s taming influence, there’s nothing holding back Dragos’s darkest side. And in order to restore her family and save her mate, Pia must confront the most powerful menace in Elder Races history.

It’s going to take more than a penny to fix this…

~ 4.5 Pia Saves Stars ~

Another Amazing novella.

Pia Saves the Day is #6.6 in the Elder Races series by Thea Harrison. I just love this series! Dragos and Pia always have some kind of adventure that enders them to me even more then the first time I read about them in Dragon Bound.

In this little adventure Dragos is injured in an accident and losses his memory. When he comes around he’s a dragon and Pia has to watch as her mate fly’s away after he tries to attack her.

Ms. Harrison does a wonderful job pulling my heartstrings and making me fall in love with Dragos and Pia all over again. I was pulled in from the first page and taken on an emotional wild run. Pia shows such courage and fortitude that she outshines Dragos. Even though Dragos does not remember Pia he still wants her in every way. I enjoyed seeing such established characters engage as if they first meet. This was a sweet, sad, sexy, journey! Peanut only makes a small appearance, which is ok, because he gets his own little novel in Peanut Goes to School, that I can’t wait to get reading.

Fans of the Elder Races series will not want to miss Pia Saves the Day. It is an emotional journey for Pia and Dragos and one I enjoyed immensely.

  1. I thought this was cute, but not my favorite of the novella about the Cuelebre family. I enjoyed Dragos Takes a Holiday and Peanut Goes to School a lot more. Maybe because both had Liam’s POV, and he is just so cute.

    • I agree Melanie. I enjoyed this one, but I miss having Peanut aka Liam POV. We don’t get him in this one, but I still feel this was well worth a read. It was nice to see the Cuelebre Family!

  2. I still need to start them. I have book one but for some reason never started it. I think I’m nervous it won’t live up to expectations which is kinda silly but omg they sound like ones that would be perfect for me and I so want them to be. lol

    • I can understand that. I’ve felt that way about a few book’s. The only book in the Elder Race that I had a hard time with was Serpent’s Kiss. Just something about it made it hard to get through/finish, but I did finish it. I’m not sure if it’s because of the lead Vampyre Queen Carling (I never real liked her) or something else. It’s my least favorite in the series.
