On a Personal Note:

This week was pretty lade back. I finally got to get some reading done and write reviews. I have a few ARC’s I still need to get to soon. This weekend I am out of town with the family having family fun time. My 2.5-year-old is getting the hang of the potty. We still have an accident every once and a while, but it’s going well in the potty training department. Still not ready to ware big boy underwear all the time.

Bought, Borrowed, Bagged
BB&B is a weekly meme, inspired by Talk Supe, The Story Siren, & Pop Culture Junkie, where we share with you the books that we have bought, borrowed, bagged (Won or Gifted) and more.

The only book I bought this week was a pre-order Magic Breaks. I’m such a big fan of the Katie Daniel’s series. Looking forward to this next installment.

Library popped up a borrow Devil’s Game (Reapers Motorcycle Club #3) by Joanna Wylde.

I did get an ARC of A Jinn’s Seduction (Spanish Nights #1) by Valerie Twombly.  I still have several one-clicks on my iPad (kindle/nook) that I hope to get through. That one-click is so tempting especially when the book is on sale or free. ^_^

I was born and raised in Northern Indiana. I’m an outdoor sun loving reader living near San Fransisco. I’m a mother, wife, dog owner, animal, and book lover. I’m the owner, reviewer, and mind behind Angel’s Guilty Pleasures. My favorite animals are horses & dogs. As for reading I love all things paranormal & urban fantasy. My favorite shifters are dragons!

  1. Potty training…such a stressful time but I guess getting rid of the diapers trumps it all 🙂

    My Sunday

  2. I am not the biggest reader of MC books, I have issues with how the men treat the women sometimes. I hope the one you got doesn’t have that 🙂

    • Hi Briane,

Joanna Wylde books are on the gritty side, but they are the best MC books I’ve read so far that I have enjoyed. I agree some MC books treat the women bad. Some MC books I’ve picked up have just been bad and if I started off with them I may never have picked up Joanna Wylde. I have no issues with Joanna Wylde books.
Check out my review on book 1 Reaper’s Property and book 2 Reaper’s Legacy in Joanna Wylde MC series.

  3. Congrats on the potty training! The switch to big boy underwear is a bit scary. I had good luck with putting a pullup over his underwear when we went somewhere for the first little while. That way he still felt like he had on underwear but I didn’t have to worry about a cleanup on aisle 2 situation! Have a great vacation!

    • Thanks for stoping in Katherine. I’m glad we are at the potty training stage. All those diapers. I’ll be happy to finally be full time in big boy under ware. ^_^

  4. Aw hope yall are having a great time! A relaxing week like that is always nice 🙂

    • We a good weekend at the beach. It was nice to have family time with out all the distractions of life. Thanks for stoping in Anna. I hope your cats are doing better. Did they ever find out what was causing them to get sick?

  5. Oh, my, so happy that potty training is way in the distant past…LOL. That was a challenging time.

But then the teens were a whole other country…LOL.

Enjoy your week….and here’s MY WEEKLY SUNDAY/MONDAY UPDATES POST

    • Hi Laurel-Rain, Well I’m glad to be at the potty training stage, but sad to see the boy grow up. They grow so fast in now time he will be a teen and I’ll miss the baby day’s. Have a great week and Happy Reading! ^_^

  6. I sincerely do not miss potty training. Though my kids were actually pretty good. No major problems except my now 15-yr-old didn’t want anything to do with ‘boy boy undies’ until we told him he couldn’t advance to the much more fun 3-yr-old room at daycare until he was potty trained. That’s all it took. lol

    • We are doing well with potty training now that he talks a little. He is a late boomer in the talking department. Thank’s for stoping in A Voracious Reader. ^_^
