Weekly Recap #29: Sept. 1st – 6th, 2014

A Blogger Note:

This week has been very exciting for me as a blogger. I received word from Author Valerie Twombly that my book blurb that I sent in for a contest was picked to be featured on the cover of her new release coming out Sept. 24, 2014 Spanish Nights.91ABtm5KE1L._SL1500_ <fan girl squeal> I was so happy, excited and very honored to have won this amazing spot. “A spellbinding world full of magic and romantic suspense. ~ Angel’s Guilty Pleasures” Check it out!

I also received word from Author Nancy Corrigan that she has a new series releasing in Oct. Mist Unveiled (Elemental Desire). She personal sent me an email offering me an opportunity to review her book. I love receiving personal notes and request’s from the author. I have few authors that I talk with, but it’s very special to make that contact/connection with them.

I signed up for NetGallery, but have not used it much. I requested my first book this week: A Highlander’s Obsession by Vonnie Davis and was thrilled to be accepted to review. That review is coming this week on the blog. I was also surprised to receive in my email an invite from Penguin Group off NetGalley to review Reaper’s Stand (Reapers MC #4) by Joanna Wylde. I just finished reading this one and enjoyed it.

Last note I set up a Tumbler account for those that wise to follow that way: http://angels-gp.tumblr.com.

On the blogger front I am so very honored to be meeting such great Authors and to receive the opportunities to review there books. For me this is fabulous, amazing and very special, especially since I have only been blogging for 8 month’s now.

On A Personal Note:

This was a busy week with the family. My son went back-to-school on Tuesday. For those that don’t know he is Two. We are now taking him to school in under ware, which is great, because he is doing so well at home with the potty training. All most there, but not quite out of the diapers. My husband has been working late this week and problem next. They have a very big project going on at his company. We signed up for more Lil’ Kickers on Sat. Instead of going at 10am we did the 9am. Our son is more active and less tired during this time. He is an early bird riser. Oh how I wish he wasn’t!

  1. Wow! Sounds like you had a fantastic week! NetGalley can be dangerous! I tend to over request but it’s a lot of fun. Enjoy your new books! I don’t envy you having an early riser. Mine could definitely sleep a bit later but I know it could be much work. Have a great week!

    • Oh I love your blog name…. Thank you for stoping by Katherine. Oh I know I could get carried away with NetGalley, but so far I’ve been very careful. I do most my request from the library! I’ve got so much to read that there will never be a shortage. I signed up for NetGalley, since it seams to be one of the ways authors/publishers prefer to share the ARC’s.
      Happy Reading!

  2. It’s always good to be bad… when it comes to books 🙂
