The Weird Girls return in another edge-of-your-seat novel from Cecy Robson! Just when Celia thinks the supernatural world can’t turn deadlier, a new rival emerges, proving just how dangerous a power-hungry were can be.

Since being cursed with unique abilities, Celia Wird and her three sisters have fought the most bloodthirsty preternaturals in the Lake Tahoe region. But Celia’s greatest threat is someone she would have never suspected: Anara, a werewolf Elder who has allowed his hatred for Celia to spiral out of control. In a play for dominance, Anara tortures Celia and gives her an ultimatum: sever her mate bond with pureblood were Aric—or Anara will kill everyone she loves.

From the instant they met, Celia and Aric have shared an attraction that cannot be tamed. So keeping Aric away is impossible, and Aric would sooner die than allow anyone to hurt the woman he loves. Misha, master vampire and Celia’s sworn protector, also finds his way into the chaos, seeking blood from those who have harmed her.

Now Celia and her sisters are caught in the middle of a war driven by lust, fueled by hatred, and destined to end in tragedy. For Anara is a force to be reckoned with, and he will not succumb without robbing Celia of those who hold her heart.

ARC A Cursed Bloodline

A Cursed Bloodline is book four in the Weird Girls series by Cecy Robson. We are taken on an action packed emotional ride in each and every installment. Ms. Robson does her trade mark writing, where everything and anything can happen. We get action, adventure, heartache, lose, twist, turns, suspense, surprise, and it all revolves around Celia Weird.

As always we get so much happening that I don’t know where to begging or end. Fans that have enjoyed the Weird Girls so far will enjoy this latest installment. I suggest you have a box of tissues while reading this novel. I cried. I laughed. I yelled. I sighed. I said oh no…

A Cursed Bloodline starts off with news we have been waiting for, but it comes with the knowledge that she has so much more to lose. She must fight and sacrifice to protect those she loves. Everyone, even family does not understand why she makes the choices she does and she can’t tell them. Aric hates her, her sister’s think she is crazy, but Danny, our Blue Merle wolf, is a true friend sticking by her no matter what and of course he figures out what is happening. We get a little glimpse into his powers and what he can do that makes him special among the wolves. Halfway through the book we get another turn of events and it was about time things changed in Celia’s life. It is still a hard bumpy road for her, but Celia is true to herself and fights for what she wants. Destiny, our sear vamp, makes another appearance and surprise surprise we get more clarification on her vision. There are a few back storylines going on with the sisters and I would like to see them get their own books someday.

I still have some issues with some characters and things in this book. Aric he still has not redeemed himself in my eyes after everything he put Celia through. Then Misha OMG (you will know the moment I am talking about, where I said oh no you did not do that). I also felt a little overwhelmed as so much happens in this book (maybe too much).

The Weird Girls are an emotional read, full of magic and action that keep you coming back for more. As always this was another emotional roller coaster ride for me and I am waiting to see where things go from here.

  1. I’ve been on a contemporary romance bender for two weeks and now that the slate has been cleaned, this is the first order of business. I’m both scared and excited!

    • You should be Braine! Happy Reading.

  2. Hi, Angela! Thank you so much for the feature. I’m happy you took the time to read A Cursed Bloodline, and that despite you reservations, that you enjoyed it. A Cursed Bloodline is a heavy book. What happened needed to happen for many reasons. I’m hoping that it all makes sense when A Curse Unbroken, Celia’s last book (for now) releases in March. Based on the events in this novel and the next, it opens up the opportunity for another sister to center stage. I recently signed a three-book, one novella contract to tell Taran’s journey. The books are tent. titled Of Flame and Light, Of Flame and Fury, and Of Flame and Fate, with the novella, Of Flame and Promise. I hope you’ll the opportunity to read them as well. Thank you, again, and Happy Holidays!

    • Cecy, I am thrilled to learn that one of the sisters gets her own books. I look forward to those and the last of Celia’s books. Thank you for taking the time to pop on over to the blog and share with me about your recent signing and how things will hopeful make sense with A Curse Unbroken. ^_^
