The vampire, Roke, is raw, sensual, always in control. Yet somehow he’s allowed the unthinkable to happen: a nymph-like witch named Sally has used her magic to trick Roke into mating with her. The pair will remain bound for eternity unless Sally breaks the spell. The trouble is, she has no idea how. . .

Mating with Roke was an accident; at least that’s what Sally keeps telling herself. She’s on the hunt for her demon father, whose identity holds the key to releasing the spell. The search won’t be easy with Roke shadowing Sally’s every move. As they mate with a ferocity that leaves them both aching for more, Sally isn’t sure if her world is more dangerous without Roke—or with him. . .

~ 4.5 Hunt the Darkness Stars ~

Hunt the Darkness is book eleven in the Guardians of Eternity series by Alexandra Ivy. If you love supernaturals, then you will love this. We are given a verity of sups from vampires, werewolves, imps, gargoyles, witches, and so much more. It’s also full of action, romance, and plot twists and turns.

We where introduced to Roke and Sally in Darkness Avenged and Oh Boy, I could not wait to get my hands on their novel. Sally is a witch and vampires hate witches. Roke is a clan chief and a very possessive sexy vampire. He gets lead on a dangerous and entertaining chase. Sally and Roke’s chemistry is off the charts, they have an emotional journey to go through and also a very unique and unusually mating. I loved that the mating was so different from what we have been seeing in this series. AIvy also included several of our favorite characters from previous novels in this installment including, Levet or fun loving gargoyle.

I loved Hunt the Darkness! I highly recommend this series and book. Each book can be read as a standalone. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next installment in this series.

  1. So many grEat books!! I need to make time for all of it.

I have her other series, it’s in its second installment, easier to catch up with than this one. Although I like the standalone feel, won’t I miss too much in terms of myth and world building?

    • I don’t think you would miss too much. She does a good job of telling us what has happened before. I prefer to read series books in order, but some people don’t mind out of order.

What other series of hers do you have? I’ve read the Bayou Heat ones and I have The Sentinels series on my TBR plus I can’t wait to try her two new series coming Dragons of Eternity and ARES Security.
