Good god I have been battling a head cold for over a month now. I feel lousy. It makes it hard to deal with real life or blogging and reading. I’m still in my reading slump, though now that I am back from my vacation where I visited with family near Chicago, I’ve actually started a book. As for reading, nothing and I mean nothing has sounded appealing, even my old favorites are just Eh! I think this cold is putting me in a really bad funk. I did get an appointment with my doctor for this coming monday. Hopeful they can help.

Hope everyone is doing well and those that have kids that are in school now are enjoying the Back to School life.

Midnight Hunter

Execution Underground #3

by Kait Ballenger

Expected Publication: September 1, 2015

Midnight HunterHunters of the supernatural, The Execution Underground are an elite group tasked with protecting humanity…but can dark temptation destroy good intentions?

Occult specialist and witch hunter Dr. Shane Grey is called upon to investigate a string of crimes that bear all the hallmarks of black magic. But he can’t take on this daunting assignment for the Execution Underground alone. He’ll need the help of Vera Sanders, a witch with a dark past—and a woman who disturbs him as much as she intrigues him.

Vera is determined to ignore the dangerous chemistry between herself and Shane so she can prove her loyalty to his cause; otherwise she risks the wrath of the Execution Underground once again. If she can’t make Shane trust her, they won’t stand a chance in hell of defeating the evil that’s terrorizing their city. No easy task, considering old habits die hard…and Vera may be the very person responsible for luring Shane into a killer’s trap.

  1. Oh my, I hope it’s nothing serious and that you feel better soon. I myself have just gotten over a slump, I treated it with lots of novellas, serials, and a fail proof writer. That kick started my “normal” again.

    • I think I’m coming out of my slump. I finished Midnight Hunter in two days, read There’s Snow Escape (PDA) in one day, and have started A Silver Wolf Christmas today. My doctor also got me some medication to help clear up the head-cold. I am so ready for my cold to be over with. Thanks for stoping in Braine good to hear your slump is over and your back to “normal”. ^_^

  2. Oh man. That sucks being sick for so long. Hope the DR can get ya on the mend and you find a book that does it for ya. Being sick can definitely put ya off all the good stuff.

    • Ya, all I’ve been doing is watch TV shows on Amazon Prime since nothing in the reading department has made me want to read, even the ones I was waiting to read could not pull me out. The sickness was/is a downer. I’m still sick, but the doc got me medication so I hope I can kick this head-cold in the butt. I have started reading again and feel like I’m getting out of the slump. Always a pleasure having you visit Anna.

  3. My sister also caught a cold and she’s spending the weekend in bed. I hope you feel better soon and the doctor can help:) On the bright side, if there is one, maybe this will be the only cold you catch and you’ll sail through the winter! Take care.

    • Thank you Laura. I hope your sister feels better and ya, I hope I get over it soon. Maybe it will be my only cold, but I am usually not that lucky especially with having a child.
