Sunday Post/BB&B #79 ~ Fall, Busy, & Family visiting!

SP-BBB-angelsgp

Another week has gone by and I am participating in the Caffeinated Book Reviewer Sunday Post, where we recap the past week on the blog, things to come, showcase books & giveaways plus much more.

I am also participating in BB&B, inspired by Talk Supe & Pop Culture Junkie, where we share with you the books that we have bought, borrowed, bagged (Won or Gifted) and more.

Personal Updates

Well fall started this last week on Sept. 23rd. The year is just flying by and October is just around the corner. This week was busy in my personal life. A mothers chores and errands are never ending. I also had to get ready for grandparents who are visiting. They arrived on Friday and will be staying until Tuesday this week.

The Blog Updates

Since I was so busy, it took me 5 days, yes, 5 days to read Exit Strategy, which is still on sale for $1.99 eBook. I kept trying to sit down and read, but something else kept coming up.

WP also did some plugin up dates and my rotating widgets went away. I had just updated them the day before and then the next day look on the blog and they are all gone. Ahhh! Well they are back up and showcasing giveaways, coming book releases, and books that are out now.

I also discovered the aStore feature on my Amazon Associates page and have been playing around with it. I’ve seen the aStore used on other blogs, but had not tried it out myself. I like how easy it is to showcase books for anything. So, I’ve been hard at work setting up a list of 2015 & 2014 books reviewed on the blog, which is not finished yet; because I plan to add my ratings and a little note on what I thought about the book. You can take a look at what I have done so far HERE! I am also working on using this feature for my Angel’s Weekly Romance List each week & my Kindle eBooks Deals page that features Free, $.99c, $1.99, & $2.99 Deals.

Check it out!

    • Lauren thank you. This week is going to be quit on the book/blog front. I am just hanging out with family since we have relatives in town visiting. I hope I enjoy Reapers and Bastards too. I have enjoyed Ms. Wylde books and these novellas look good. I like the look of the aStore. My issue I have noticed (maybe I’m missing it) is once you click on a book it takes you to the books information page which is nice, but I don’t see a back button to get back to the books listed, so when you do get back you have lost the page you where on. Have a great week!

  2. Been meaning to discover that Amazon estore, maybe after I finally figure out my email issues. Gah! I don’t think I’ll be ever to fix it via feedburner

    • I don’t know anything about feedburner email subscriptions. Maybe you should think about trying a new email user subscription, if you can. I use the WP blog subscription (Jetpack). It’s worked great for me, so far. Hope you can get it to work =/. It’s a bummer it doesn’t.

  3. I always loved my A-Store and the Amazon cash was the only money I ever made blogging. The my state took it away 🙁 by passing some law that made Amazon boot us all from their system.

Grandparents are, I hope, keeping the youngsters busy!

    Thanks for coming by http://fangswandsandfairydust.com

    • Oh that is a bummer that your state got you booted. =( Bummer. The aStore is a handy tool. Yes, grandparents as always keep the little guy busy and give mom/dad time to relax. Always a pleasure to see what you have going on at your blog Steph. Thank you for stoping by mine. Happy Reading!

  4. I’ve liked using the aStore. Handiest for me so far.

    • I first saw the aStore in use on your blog and thought that is a cool feature. So I decide to give it a try. I need to play around with the aStore more. I’m not sure yet how I want to set up my weekly list of new releases. I did get my review list set up, but still have not put notes on my ratings. The other thing is I need to figure out how to make my blog post wider. The aStore is cut off a little on the left. I need more hours in the day. Anna always a pleasure! Have a great week.

  5. I’m going to check out the aStore feature. Sounds fun and will be something new for my blog. Thanks for sharing about it. Have a lovely visit with your Grandparents:)

    • Laura glad to share the aStore. I actually first saw it on Anna’s blog Herding Cats & Burning Soup. I like it, but I’m having trouble deciding on catagories and how to showcase it. I need to play around with it more.
We are having a great time with grandparents. It’s a short visit, so lots of activities set up, which is keeping us busy.
Have a great week and happy reading!
