Angel’s Guilty Pleasures Turns 2! ~ #Giveaway

2YearBlogAnniversary-angelsgp

Come Celebrate with me.

Today the Blog turns 2!!

WOW I can’t believe it’s been two years. Time has flown bye. I remember when my husband said “Hey honey, why don’t you start a blog, since you love to read and review so much.” I remember looking around and read those special Features and Memes that book reviews post on their blogs sometimes about the best way to run your blog, what to do and not do, etc. I wanted to make Angel’s Guilty Pleasures work and I wanted my followers to enjoy the content. I’ve made changes along the way. Found things that work and don’t for me. I’ve also tried to make it more personal with fun banners & teasers (love Canva).

I also remember the awesome authors who gave me a shout out and the chance for a no name blogger to work with them. I love you all!! Many have stuck with me and thank you for that. Special shout out to Anne Lowe, Setta Jay, Sharon Kay, & Valerie Twombly you have all become great friends and have been some of my favorite authors to read, review, and work with.

I am so very grateful to all of you (followers, authors, & bloggers) who have supported me and helped me get started.

Thank-You

  1. Congrats on the 2 year anniversary! I’m a fan of fantasy books and the occasional paranormal. 🙂

  2. I love the new books/authors I find here. Congrats on 2 years

  3. Happy Blogoversary! There are so many new releases I’m looking forward to, Starflight, Smash and Grab, A Torch in the Night…

    • Wonderful chooses. I love looking forward to new releases and have several I can’t wait for this year 2016. Thank you for stoping in and good luck in the giveaways!

  4. It’s so nice that you offer the option to borrow from your library, I haven’t seen that on other blogs. Thank you!

    • It’s a new feature I started this year. Nook and Kindle off the option to loan and well I don’t have anyone in my family who likes what I read, so I thought I would share. I’ve found several great authors just borrowing from my local Library and I’ve also noticed that the library’s don’t always have an author you want to try, so I felt it’s a great way to share and get new readers. If someone truly enjoys the book they will go out and buy it. I’ve used the library and then enjoyed a book so much I went out and bought it.
      Good luck in the giveaways.

  5. Congratulations on your anniversary, I love anything Scary or Mysterious.

    • Hello and Welcome Kristin. I love getting new followers. I hope you enjoy what you find on the blog and the reviews you see. PNR and UF are my favorite go to genres, but since I started blogging I have been trying to branch out and try new things. Doesn’t always work, but every once in a while I find something I enjoy. Thanks for stoping bye and becoming a follower. Good luck in the giveaways!

My favourite book is The Whisperer by Donato Carisi.

  29. I’m looking forward to reading Precious Gifts by Danielle Steel.

  30. Congrats! My blog just turned 5. It’s my baby and I so love it. I’ve only recently come to understand that my blog has to be about me and what I want to read. I found myself reading what PR people wanted me to read instead of what I wanted to read. That’s finally changed. And I’m hopeful that my blog will be around another 5 years. May your blog bring you reading joy!

    • Congratulations on the 5 years. That’s a long time and a great achievement. I hope to see you around another 5 too. I hope I make it that long if not longer.

I know that feeling about reading. When I first got started I was flooded with requests from authors, many no name authors. I was very choosey, even then, on what I picked to read. Now I’ve stated on the blog that I will only read for authors I’ve already revewied for before. This year I’ve made a new years resolution to read my own dame books. I have so many I’ve bought, but not read, so I’m going to work on that plus request more from my library.

Thanks for stoping bye and good luck in the giveaway!

  31. Congratulations on your anniversary, I just love your blog, keep doing all the good and fun things you are doing because they are great…I love reading and read everything and almost all genres except mystery and have lots and lots of favorite authors, so thanks for all you do…
