Dragos Cuelebre, Lord of the Wyr, needs to throw a party without maiming anyone. That isn’t exactly as easy as it might sound.

After the destructive events of the last eighteen months, the Elder Races are heading to Washington D.C. to foster peace with humankind. Not known for his diplomacy skills, Dragos must rely on his mate Pia to help navigate a battlefield of words and polite smiles rather than claws. With Dragos’s mating instinct riding close to the surface, his temper is more volatile than ever and the threat of violence hovers in the air.

Then the human spouse of a prominent politician winds up murdered and Dragos and Pia must race against time to hunt down those behind it before they are held responsible for the crime. (40,000 words; 174 pages)

For fans of DRAGON BOUND and LORD’S FALL, the latest novella in the Elder Races holds passion, peril, political intrigue, and revelations that will change Dragos and Pia’s lives forever.

DRAGOS GOES TO WASHINGTON is the first part of a three-story series about Dragos, Pia, and their son Liam. Each story stands alone, but fans might want to read all three in order as they will be released: DRAGOS GOES TO WASHINGTON, PIA DOES HOLLYWOOD, and LIAM TAKES MANHATTAN.

~ 3 Dragos Stars ~

Dragos Goes to Washington a novella #8.5 in the Elder Races series by Thea Harriosn. We are treated to a satisfying read full of political intrigue and revelations that will surprise.

This was an enjoyable read giving us a murder mystery in Washington DC which is intriguing, but it does resolve quickly. The story in itself is fan-fic for those that have come to love Dragos, Pia, and The Peanut. We don’t get a cliffhanger per say, but we are left with a few levels of political issues unrelieved, which will be continued in the next to novellas Pia Does Hollywood and Liam Takes Manhattan

As for our characters I loved seeing them again. They are always fun together with some great banter. The emotional buildup was kinda flat. No real sizzle for me. Their sensual scenes were just so so this time around. We don’t get to see The Peanut except for a brief moment in the beginning.

As novella’s go Dragos Goes to Washington was an ok read. Fans will enjoy returning to one of the main couples and seeing some of our past characters make an appearance.

  1. I still need to get to these novellas for 2015. I just love these short stories about Dragos, Pia and Liam.

    • I have enjoyed the novellas about Dragos, Pia, and Liam too, but this one and Pia Does Hollywood have just been ok. To much of the same with them, nothing new. I’d love to see other couples get some novellas now or some side characters.
