Sunday Post/BB&B #105 ~ Spring is in the air!

This is my take on the Sunday Post, BB&B, & Stacking The Shelves.

Another week has gone bye and I am participating in the Caffeinated Book Reviewer Sunday Post, where we recap the past week on the blog, things to come, showcase books & giveaways plus much more.

I also participate in BB&B/Stacking The Shelves. The BB&B is inspired by The Story Siren, Talk Supe, Pop Culture Junkie, and Stacking The Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. It’s all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, wither they are bought, borrowed, bagged (Won or Gifted). It can be physical or virtual additions to your shelves.

Personal Notes:

I missed posting last week’s Sunday Post, BB&B, & Stacking The Shelves. I just didn’t feel like putting something together. My life has felt a little stressful.

We are looking at schools for our son. He will be starting kindergarten either this fall or next. It depends on several factors. One is the public schools (which I’m sad to say or not very good in our district) won’t accept our son this fall; because he was not born on or before September 1. He’s a November boy, but privet schools will accept kids since their cut off is December 1. I never thought that looking into schools would be so stressful, but it really is. You want your child to get the best education they can.

We are also looking at moving. We are currently in an apartment, but would like to get a house to rent. If we do move we have to do it before the last week in June since we will be leaving to visit family in the mid-west and then off to France then back to CA. We won’t get back until Mid-July and our lease at our apartment is up before we get back from our trip, so if we are moving we have to do before and if we aren’t we have to re-sign the lease. The hardest part is finding a pet friendly place. I keep running into the problem that the renters won’t accept pets. San Fran/CA is known for being a pet friendly place, but I’m not seeing it especially with rentals.

Onto more exciting things. Books Books Books ^_^

Last two weeks of reading!

Possessed by a Dark Warrior

possessed by a dark warrior(Eternal Mates #9)
by Felicity Heaton
Expected publication: April 9th 2016

A powerful warrior and commander of the dark elf legions, Bleu is a loyal and devoted male, and one who has never failed in anything—except one thing. Love. When an elusive female dragon shifter surfaces in Hell again, giving him a mission to hurl himself into, he gladly returns to his hunt for her and the deadly blade she stole from his prince seven centuries ago, but as he closes in on his prey, fate reveals she is far more than his enemy.

Having escaped from the black market arena and her life as a slave, Taryn sets her sights back on the task she began seven hundred years ago when her brother stole a precious sword, but in the three centuries she’s been a captive, everything has changed. Corrupted by a craving for power, her brother has become dangerously obsessed with finding the blade and using it to claim the ultimate treasure—the position of King of Hell.

Faced with having to end her beloved twin brother to stop him from bringing all of Hell to its knees before him, will Taryn be strong enough to use the very blade he seeks against him? And when Bleu finally catches his elusive prey, will he listen to his head as it demands he complete his mission or his heart as it demands he claim his eternal mate?

    • Welcome and thank you for following Danielle. It’s always nice to meet new people. I am having a great time with the books I’ve read and the ones that are coming up. The Guild Hunters series by Singh is one I’ve had on my TBR for some time and well everyone kept telling me I’d love it and they where right. Wish I had stated it sooner. ^_^
Enjoy the giveaway’s. I always have something going on if not on the blog then I do a surprise giveaway on FB only, so make sure to follow me there if you like. I’m always up for a good giveaway!
Have a great week and happy reading.

  2. I hope you find a place to rent and a good school for your child! I teach in a private school so I know how stressful finding the right place can be! I watch my student’s parents go through it!! You will figure it out though! We have a hard time finding places to rent as well because we have two dogs. One of them is 80 lbs! So, even when we find a place that accepts pets, they usually have a weight limit on dogs so its out. Frustrating!
Great book haul!! I read an ARC of One Second by Dannika Dark and it was AWESOME!!! I want to see your thoughts on the NJ Walters book-its sitting on my kindle!

    • I never expected that looking at schools would be hard and stressful. It was a surprise and then some schools have waiting lists. Gezz!!

Ya, I’ve seen that problem too about the weight limit for dogs or breeds not allowed. We have an Australian Shepherd and only the one, but finding a pet place is hard. We go through this ever time we move. I’m just plan tired of moving.

I loved all the books I’ve picked up. NJ Walters book was my first time reading her and I LOVED it. So want to pick up the others in the series. I’ve not read Dannika Dark, but I’ve featured her books. They look good. Have a great week and happy reading! ^_^

  3. Oh my! All these books look steamy and/or amazing. Good luck finding a new place and a good school. Thanks for stopping by Tynga’s Reviews.

    • They where all amazing reads. I love Ilona Andrews, Nalini Singh, and Jennifer Ashely. Can’t get enough of these fabulous authors.
I will need all the luck I can get on the finding a new place and school for our little one.
Have a amazing week and happy reading! ^_^

  4. Excited to see Sunstone’s tour post with Lia Davis.

  5. Oh my! So many yummy looking books! I hope you can find a house to rent. I understand how hard that can be. My son is a November baby and I had to wait to enroll him, even though it was a private school. It can be good and bad. It was good for him as he still struggled. Hope you find the perfect fit.

  7. Good luck finding a school and a place to rent. I remember trying to find a place to rent when I was looking. It was so difficult. When I did find a place that would take dogs, the would have size limits. My dog is 70 pounds, so not overly large, but they would only allow small dogs below 40 pounds in many of the places.

I love all the series that you’ve read the past two weeks, though I am behind on Jennifer Ashley’s series. I’m still working my way through it on audio. I think I’m on 4.5 or something. I’m also reading Bleu’s book right now too. I hope you have a great week.

    • I don’t have to worry about the weight limit, just finding a place that will take them. We really want to be in a house, but I just don’t know if it’s going to happen.

You will get their on Jennifer Ashleys Shifter’s Unbound series. They are fun ones to read and she always has some new type of element or plot, so they don’t get boring. I’m enjoying Bleu now that I’ve gotten past the 45% mark. It was really slow going and I almost set it aside. The first part is necessary. I just couldn’t take the lack of action. Have a great week and happy reading! ^_^
