Sunday Post/BB&B #107

This is my take on the Sunday Post, BB&B, & Stacking The Shelves.

Another week has gone bye and I am participating in the Caffeinated Book Reviewer Sunday Post, where we recap the past week on the blog, things to come, showcase books & giveaways plus much more.

I also participate in BB&B/Stacking The Shelves. The BB&B is inspired by The Story Siren, Talk Supe, Pop Culture Junkie, and Stacking The Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. It’s all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, wither they are bought, borrowed, bagged (Won or Gifted). It can be physical or virtual additions to your shelves.

Personal Note:

My son loves his new LeapPad. He can’t get enough of the three games we got him. Only time will tell if it helps him with his letters.

Coming this next week we have great-grandparents visiting, so Thursday and Friday I will be busy entertaining them. The blog will not have anything new featured for those days. I did pick up a bunch of free ebooks this week from authors for a giveaway I entered a while back.

Other then that It’s been a nice slow week. I’ve been making new teasers for books I’ve read and setting up fun giveaways on the Facebook page, so make sure to stop by the FB page and enter. Don’t forget all the other giveaways here on the blog.

  1. My kids did loved their Leap products. I cannot remember which one it was but one of them actually tied into their school books and would help them study for tests.

  2. How old is your son, Angela? And is he dyslexic, or just learning his letters a little slowly? (yeah, I’m curious, plus I have 2 dyslexic kids)

    • Our son is 4. We have not been working very hard on letters yet. We where thinking he would have another year before going to Kindergaduen, but with private schools they can start differently. He’s a november baby, so the cut off is in Sept for public. We are not sure yet what he will do. We want to make the letter learning fun for all of us and so far he seams to be enjoying the letter factory for leap frog.
Sorry it took so long to replay, I did not check my spam folder all that often and those that have been to the blog before and commented usually don’t get sent their, but you and Anna @ herding cats showed up in their. Silly updates messing with my comments.

    • Ya, I picked up a lot of ebooks this week… I’ve been reading the ARC’s. Now I to sit down and work on the reviews. The LeapPad has been awesome. It’s so great how much our son loves it and the best thing is the timer. It helps both of us to remember it’s time to put it down and do something else. I get so into a book that I forget the time until he goes mom the LeapPad turned off. ^_^

  7. Glad to hear your son is enjoying his Leap Pad. Also, have fun with great grandparents in town.

    • The LeapPad is the best and the timer for it is awesome. I get so raped up in a book when he plays it that I forget we need to put it down, so the timer helps us both remember. We are excited to see great-grandparents. They are the last ones still around. Have a great week and happy reading!
