Sunday Post/BB&B #108 ~ Great-grandparents visted

SP-BBB-STS-Banner-angelsgp

This is my take on the Sunday Post, BB&B, & Stacking The Shelves.

Another week has gone bye and I am participating in the Caffeinated Book Reviewer Sunday Post, where we recap the past week on the blog, things to come, showcase books & giveaways plus much more.

I also participate in BB&B/Stacking The Shelves. The BB&B is inspired by The Story Siren, Talk Supe, Pop Culture Junkie, and Stacking The Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. It’s all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, wither they are bought, borrowed, bagged (Won or Gifted). It can be physical or virtual additions to your shelves.

Personal Notes:

Great-grandparents stopped by for a two day visit with their great-grandson and us. We had two full days of fun filled activities. I ended up getting sick on the second day, but still was able to enjoy the time together. It was great to see them. They where on their way out to Kauai to celebrate their wedding anniversary. They also plan to swing back by on their way home to Michigan and we will be able to enjoy their company again along with grandparents will be in town too.

I’m reading both these books.

It’s got mixed reviews from several blogs I enjoy. I am a fan of Jeaniene Frost and she wrote the Night Huntress World series books that I just LOVE, so I felt I should enjoy this new paranormal new adult series; yet I’ve been having a hard time staying interested in The Beautiful Ashes. I keep putting it down and picking up something else to read. I haven’t decide yet if I’m going to DNF or finish it.

Alpha Wolf Need Not Apply

(Heart of the Wolf #19)Alpha Wolf Need Not Apply

by Terry Spear

Expected publication: May 3rd 2016

Wolf shifter and park ranger Eric Silver is committed to his job policing spectacular San Isabel National Forest, and he’s hot on the scent of some mysterious wolves who are up to no good. When Eric’s investigation leads him to cross paths with forester Pepper Grayling, he’s fascinated to learn this she-wolf is her pack’s leader — strong, independent, and definitely not looking for a mate.

With unknown dangers on the prowl, Pepper is tempted to give in to her attraction to Eric and align her pack with his. But Pepper’s been pursued by many alpha males–all out to take over her pack and gain her hard-won territory–and Eric is a born leader. How does Eric earn the trust of a she-wolf who’s been betrayed so often in the past?

  3. Sounds like you had a wonderful family visit and more to come. I often wonder if excitement makes us fall in sometimes. Seems like someone gets sick when family is visiting? Weird.
