Sunday Post/BB&B #109 ~ Grandparents Visiting

This is my take on the Sunday Post, BB&B, & Stacking The Shelves.

Another week has gone bye and I am participating in the Caffeinated Book Reviewer Sunday Post, where we recap the past week on the blog, things to come, showcase books & giveaways plus much more.

I also participate in BB&B/Stacking The Shelves. The BB&B is inspired by The Story Siren, Talk Supe, Pop Culture Junkie, and Stacking The Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. It’s all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, wither they are bought, borrowed, bagged (Won or Gifted). It can be physical or virtual additions to your shelves.

Personal Notes:

It was a nice week for us. I did some reading and have a few reviews to write. Grandparents arrived on friday and will be staying until after Mother’s Day, so things will be quiet on my front. I might be posting reviews this week. I don’t have anything planned except for the few tours I had signed up for before I new they where visiting.

This was recently pointed out to me: Facebook Branded Content Policy Change and What it Means for BloggersI don’t know what this will do for posting to the blogs FB page. It’s all confusing to me. FB keeps changing things. So I say the best way to stay up to date is to follow via email or twitter.

I got a great surprise in the mail this last week from Author Setta Jay. She attend RT and brought back a few goodies.

  1. Aw fun on the family visiting and yay on the reading 😀 FB ticked me off this week on the blog’s fan page. I bailed on it and created a FB group and oh my gosh. It’s nice to actually be SEEN by people again. It’s getting more views in the group of 100 on posts vs the fan page that had 4000 people. That’s ridiculous!

    • Ya, I’ve noticed the drop and I don’t have 4000 followers I’m more 1,500 but if they don’t like, share, or comment they probably don’t see anything I post. I’ve been debating on moving to the blog to a group page or not. FB is just ridicules.
The family visit is going great. Currently my son (4-year) and his cousin (5-year) are in Yosemite with grandparents for three days. I’m doing some major TV watching with him gone.

  2. I haven’t been utilizing FB much for a few years now except for cover reveals and blitzes. From experience, posts that have links, esp my blog links, don’t have a good reach so I don’t see the point. Twitter and even G+ is better.

    Happy week 🙂

    • I’ve noticed that if you don’t like or interact with a page or person you don’t see their posts. I post a lot of the same stuff I do on FB to Twitter, but I’m think of focusing on Google+ and Twitter instead of FB. I like to share the book deals and/or freebies!! As well as pimp books I’ve read and then the blog posts. Some blogs are moving their FB blogs over to a group on FB. It feels like to much work.
Have a great week and happy reading!

  3. Enjoy your book haul! I have read two of the and I thought they were great! 🙂

    • We are having a great time with grandparents so far. It’s always wonderful to have them visit. I’m hoping I can get some book reviews written and update the blog a little while they take my son to Yosemite for a few days. Have a great week and happy reading!
