Anna Frost had a bad feeling when her twin sister, Liz, told her she’d run off with a member of the notorious Otherworld biker gang, the Blood Ravagers. And her unease skyrockets when her sister subsequently vanishes. The police have no authority and little interest, so Anna decides to take matters into her own hands by infiltrating the group to discover for herself what happened to Liz, where she meets….

Dante, half demon, half human. A mix of two worlds, accepted by neither, he’s had no choice but to learn the hard way how to play whatever side of the fence kept him alive during his nearly 500 years of existence. Now, as second-in-command of the Blood Ravagers biker gang, his survival depends on keeping his humanity a secret. Dante’s ultimate goal is to fulfill the vows he made over two centuries ago to create a world where half-breeds can live in safety and equality.

But when sheltered schoolteacher Anna finds unexpected, white-hot passion in the arms of Dante, will her quest for the truth cost him more than he ever bargained for? Or will they find a way to save Liz – and their love – together?

Blood Bound is book one in the Blood Ravagers series by Traci Douglass. It’s a quick sexy read with a bit of supernatural suspense put in.

Blood Bound was enjoyable enough. It’s mainly based on lots of hot sex; between our leads Dante and Anna. The sex is light BDSM. Not hard core. The world was interesting, but I would have liked more meat. The story is mainly a bunch of hot sex with very little plot.

Our leads, Anna and Dante, I could’t connect with. They where’t very memorable nor did we get to dive deep into their characters. The secondary characters where enjoyable. I liked Anna’s sister Liz. She seamed to have a good head on her shoulder and then we get to meet two other characters, the Bartender and the Cowboy, who both where amusing.

Dante, I liked well enough. He’s our half breed demon and sex-on-a stick. He’s trying to achieve equality and justice. He wants things to change, to have a safe place for those that are half breeds like himself, and a better club.

Anna, I didn’t like at all. She comes searching for her twin sister Liz and ends up at the Demon gang’s base. She was annoying, feel into Dante’s arms to quickly and easily not giving a backward glance to her missing sister Liz, and even after finding her sister she still doesn’t believe or want her powers. Anna’s been running away her whole life from her powers, her desires, and her destiny. She continues to run away the entire book even up to the end. Very frustrating!

Blood Bound had some good idea’s behind it, but it wasn’t the book for me. If the blurb intrigues you, I urge you to give it a shot. Just because it did not work for me does not mean it won’t for you.

  1. It is very hard when you don’t like the heroine, it just ruins the romance.

    • Yes, so true. Thank’s for check out my review!

  2. I don’t mind a book with a lot of sex. I do read some erotica, but it always has a plot. I don’t want to read anything that has less of a plot than a p0rn, “pipe breaks, plumber shows up, SEX, end of plot”. I want a story and developed characters. Sorry this one didn’t work out better for you. Good luck next time.

    • Thank’s Melanie for check out my review. I agree I don’t mind sex, but need a good plot to go with it. This one had a concept, but it just didn’t click with me.

  3. Oh that’s sad. I was thinking oh this has potential! Bummer it fell through for ya.
