Character Interview: Kendall (Phoenix Everlasting by Rebecca Royce)

Posted on by

Hello and Welcome!

Today I’m happy to introduce Kendall from Phoenix Everlasting. Kendall thank you for visiting Angel’s Guilty Pleasures and speaking with me today.

Please introduce yourself to our audience?

Well, okay. I’m not exactly used to be interviewed. My name is Kendall Madison. I’m part paranormal clearer, part exorcist, mom, and divorced thirty-seven year old woman.  I wear a lot of hats.

What’s one thing you wish other’s knew about you?

It isn’t so much that I want people to know things about me as much as there are lots of things I don’t want them to know.  I’d really rather my kids’ friends moms didn’t know I’m also an exorcist.

What’s one book you have loved reading?

Oh gosh, I love to read anything romance! They really take me away to places where I can actually believe in happy endings. Have you ever read Rebecca Royce?

Do you have a favorite quote?

“If I got rid of my demons, I’d lose my angels.”

― Tennessee Williams, Conversations with Tennessee Williams

Would you share with us the challenges you are going through?

Well, the bake sale is coming up and I have no idea how I’m going to make gluten free, dairy free, sugar free, peanut free lemon bars.  And then there is the problem with the shadow people threatening to rise up and take over the earth…

What’s your ex-husband like and why is he wanting back in your life now?

Levi is a great man and a good father. When I really needed him, he wasn’t a good husband.  He couldn’t see past the fact that I’d lied to him for all of those years about having powers. I get that. But…I would have been there for him.  He wants back because he says he’s still in love with me, that he never stopped being in love with me and he’d love to put our family back together.  I’m just not sure I can forgive him or trust him to have my back if it came down it again.

How do you feel about your author?

Rebecca and I understand each other pretty well. She’s also the mother of three (all boys, unlike me) and she’s busy busy busy.  That being said, she has no magic powers so she doesn’t face the life or death decisions I do on a daily basis.

Anything else you would like to share with us today?

Thanks so much for reading me! There are two more books to go in my story. They’re both written. The next one is called Fragility Unearthed and the final one is Persuasion Enraptured. They come out on March 14th and May 2nd

Kendall, it was a pleasure having you visit. Thank you for taking the time to chat with me today!

Phoenix Everlasting

The Cascades, book 2

By Rebecca Royce

Expected Publication: Jan. 24th, 2017

Maybe it was better when she couldn’t remember who she was supposed to be…

Single-mom, Kendall Madison has a lot on her plate.  Her ex-husband wants back in the picture, her three children have all developed super-natural powers, and the love of her many lives wants to have another go at their forever.

She has a team to lead and homework to manage.  The shadows are growing in strength and the battle she was brought back to life to fight has begun.  How is a woman supposed to manage all of that and not fall apart?  Kendall needs to figure out how to cope or the entire world will fall apart.  Or maybe it already has and was always meant to.  If she can find the missing phoenix there will be a chance…the only problem is no one has seen it twenty years…

What’s more terrifying…
What you can’t see,
Or what you can’t remember?

Since her divorce, Kendall Madison has been in over her head. Between trying to make ends meet, raising three kids, and hunting ghosts,
Kendall just can’t seem to find balance in her life. When she finally lands a job right up her alley, she hopes it’s a sign for better things
to come. She couldn’t be more wrong…

Hiring Kendall to locate and eliminate ghosts is Malcolm Fallons’ best way to get close to her. After years of yearning for her, he’s ready to
finally have the woman who’s always been his. Unfortunately, Kendall’s feelings for her ex-husband, Levi Yates, are complicated and not exactly
platonic.

When the demons of her past and present begin to threaten her family, Malcolm and Levi vow to protect her. As secrets from her childhood come to
light, Kendall is torn between both men. Only one can have her heart. Will she always be haunted by her past, or can she exorcise the shadows
before they destroy her future?

As a teenager, I would hide in my room to read my favorite romance novels when I was supposed to be doing my homework. I hope, these days, that my parents think it was worth it.

I am the mother of three adorable boys and I am fortunate to be married to my best friend. I live in Austin Texas where I am determined to eat all the barbecue in town.

I am in love with science fiction, fantasy, and the paranormal and try to use all of these elements in my writing. I’ve been told I’m a little bloodthirsty so I hope that when you read my work you’ll enjoy the action packed ride that always ends in romance. I love to write series because I love to see characters develop over time and it always makes me happy to see my favorite characters make guest appearances in other books.

In my world anything is possible, anything can happen, and you should suspect that it will.

I’d love to hear from you!

Cheers!!
