Tell Me Something Tuesday: Cross Posting Reviews on Amazon brought to you by Rainy Day Ramblings

This week we are talking about cross posting reviews on Amazon, well for me I do cross post to Amazon. I also cross post on several other platforms like Kobo, Barnes & Nobles, Goodreads, Riffle, BookBub, BookLikes and my blog Angel’s Guilty Pleasures.

Now I don’t post my reviews to all those sites ASAP. I will take a day and go through my fold labeled Book Reviews I Need Post and post all those reviews to Amazon, Kobo, Barnes & Novels, Riffle, and BookBub. Their are so may sites to share reviews on, taking a day to cross post them is the best option for me and less time consuming.

For my reviews they will first feature on Goodreads. I love the Goodreads site. Really love it!! I site down write up my review and then post it to Goodreads at the same time. So, my review will show up their well before it’s featured on my blog or any other site. If you want to see my reviews FIRST then Goodreads is the best place to follow or friend me.

Follow/Friend on Goodreads

Next, I’ll schedule on my calendar the day that my review will feature on the blog, sometimes it ends up being a month later. Ya, I know it’s a long time, but I also feature fun Discussion Posts, Food Posts, Tours, and so on. I don’t like to have to much on one day. I want to be able to comment back and I’m a full time mother/home maker, so I’ve got other things to do besides just blog. Once the post is live on my blog I will cross post that day to BookLikes. BookLikes is another type of blogging platform.

Follow on BookLikes

BookBub: I am just now working on cross post all my reviews to the site. I didn’t know until recently that you could post your review. I think it’s became a new feature or maybe it’s always been their, but now I’m working on putting up all my reviews to the site.

You can follow me on BookBub

Then we have all the retail sites and their are a lot of those. I only post to Amazon, B&N, and Kobo. Their is also GooglePlay, iBooks, and others. I’m not on those sites, so I don’t share their.

I almost forgot. The LIBRARY. Yes, the library’s websites, at lest most, have a way of sharing your reviews on books, audios, movies, etc… I will sometimes share their, but not regularly.

As you can see I try to get my reviews out their and share them almost everyplace I can. I like what I do. I LOVE supporting authors and as long as I love it, I will continue to support and share.

Now how about you?
Do you cross post to Amazon? How about other sites?

I'm an outdoor sun loving reader living near San Fransisco. I’m a mother, wife, animal & book lover. I'm the owner, reviewer & mind behind Angel’s Guilty Pleasures. My favorite animals are horses & dogs. As for reading I love all things paranormal & urban fantasy & my favorite shifters are dragons.

  1. Great post and topic! I do cross post my reviews to Goodreads, Amazon, and B and N. I also post them on my blog. I have not posted them to the other sites you mentioned- but I don’t really know anything about those sites- so thanks for sharing. 🙂

    • You are welcome Jess. It’s my pleasure to share some of the many other sites to cross post reviews on. Thank you for coming and checking out this TMST on my blog. Have a wonderful weekend.

  2. My daughter loves Goodreads. She says it’s her new addiction. I haven’t really cross-posted on any other sites besides Barnes and Noble at the request of a publisher. I would love to do some guest posts though sometime.

Have a great weekend! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. #GetSocial17

    • Thank’s Vicky for stopping in. Goodreads is my favorite book site. When I’m out and about and spot a book that looks cool, I’ll hope on Goodreads and see what everyone is saying about it.

      Have a great weekend.

  3. Wow that is a lot of cross posting! I didn’t know you could post to bookbub now! Very cool. I post on my blog and then it automatically posts to goodreads for me. Then I copy/paste my reviews into Amazon and iBooks (those are the only 2 I ever use!)
Thanks for the friend invite on goodreads by the way! How in the heck were we not already friends on there?!?!? I do love that site.

    • I thought the same thing for GR. How did we miss not being friends on it. ^_^ LOL

I see so many didn’t know that BookBub offers posting reviews. Many have said the same thing. I only found out a month ago when they sent out an email. I’ve been working on posting reviews to the site. All current ones are up, but my back log of reviews not so much. Ya I only buy off Amazon and B&N (sometimes), so I post their and then all the other sites too, but I can see posting to the sites you use or shop at.

Thank’s Samantha for sharing and check out TMST this week. Always a pleasure.

  4. Whew that’s a lot of cross posting! I do Goodreads and Amazon. Goodreads usually before release as I finish the blog posts. Then Amazon as I can 🙂

    • I know it sure is a lot of places I cross post too… ^_^ GR is wonderful, so glad that book site came around. Thank’s Anna for stopping and commenting. Always a pleasure!

  5. I used to cross post to Amazon. But I used to review a lot of products that manufacturers sent me for free in exchange for a review on Amazon. Well, a few months ago Amazon changed their TOS and you can no longer post reviews on there if you got it for free. I had over 600 reviews on Amazon and after they changed their TOS…a lot of my book reviews and product reviews were deleted. So I no longer post reviews on Amazon. Now the only place I post reviews is on my blog.

    • Lots of people had issues when Amazon changed their policy on reviewing. I haven’t had an issue or lost any of my book reviews with them. I spend a lot and buy a lot of books off their, even we I do still get some ARC’s. Thank’s Mary for stopping in and sharing.

  6. Here’s the thing, crossposting takes A LOT of time. A least for me it does, especially with all the rules you gotta follow. That said, I always crosspost to Amazon and GoodReads. Of course on NetGalley/Edelweiss if that’s where I got the book. I do state in my review policy that I can post on additional sites upon request but I figure that with Amazon and GoodReads being the big ones that’s good enough. I’ve had trouble posting on Barnes and Noble so I stopped doing it there. I am seeing that BookBub is starting to become a thing so that might be in my future too. #GetSocial17

    • It does take time to do all the cross posting to all the different sites. I agree Goodreads and Amazon are the main ones and like you I will do NetGalley or Edelweiss if I got the book off their. That is nice to offer up on your review policy that if requested will post other places. B&N I’ve had some issues with too. I don’t like the review formate.

Thank you Adria for sharing and stopping in. #GetSocial17 ^_^

  7. I do cross post but not everywhere. It’s usually my blog, Goodreads, and Amazon. Sometimes B&N–I don’t really like their interface and it’s kind of a pain to submit a review on their site. Great topic.

    • I’ve had issues with B&N too on posting. It’s not easy at times. Thank’s Aleen for stopping and sharing! ^_^

  8. I read that cross posting can’t really hurt your CEO and if it does it’s just a tiny bit because google tries To give the searcher a variety of content. If someone performs a search, they won’t want to get 5 identical results; they want different content.I just thought I’d let you know that your read more option is not expanding the blog post. I only got to see more of your post after clicking on the comment section. I’m stopping by from blog social event.

    • Thank you Trin. I know my Read More option doesn’t work. It’s been that way since the start of the blog. I haven’t figured out how to fix it. I’ve tried a few things, but no luck. If you click on the title it opens up into the post.. Thank’s for the notice. Appreciated.

  9. I don’t really do it I confess unless it’s really asked
Melliane recently posted…Firefight by Brandon SandersonMy Profile

    • I can understand that. Some authors or publishers or tour hosts request you post to certain sites. Thank’s Melliane for stopping in and sharing. ^_^

  10. I crosspost my reviews, but there are only a couple I do the crosspost all the time. I am like you and do my GR post first then I send my blog review to whichever blog it is for and then I post to NetGalley if I got the book from there as well as Amazon and B&N. Our library does not have an online way to send them a review for the book though when I use Overdrive I can. I didn’t know about Bookbub. I’ll have to check that out.

    • That’s great you crosspost. Some library’s don’t offer online review share. I’ve ran into that at one of the library’s where I use to live, but now my currently library has on option. BookBub is fairly new on the book front and on being able to share reviews. Just in the last month did I fid out I could post reviews to the site. I also do NetGalley if I got the book off their or Edwelweiss.
Thank’s Sophia for checking out TMST and sharing. Have a great week!

  11. I post to Goodreads and Amazon. I didn’t realize you could post to Bookbub. I might start doing that. I wanted to start posting to other places but I just haven’t found the time lately.

    • I can understand on time. That’s why I pick a day and post all those reviews in my folder that need posting to all the sites I post too. I find that works for me. I didn’t know about BookBub until recently either. I’m working my way on adding all my reviews to the site and if you don’t find a book you can send a request and they will add it to the site for you then send an email when it’s live. You also have a profile on BookBub so people and authors can follow their too.

  12. I think cross posting is important because not everyone shops/looks up books on the same site. I never thought about reviewing on my library’s website though. I will have to keep an eye out for that option next time.
Kristin (Book Sniffers Anonymous) recently posted…Review: Map to the Stars by Jen MaloneMy Profile

    • Most people don’t think about the library’s website and reviewing their. I don’t do it often, but I have put some reviews up on my library. I agree, we all don’t shop at the same place to cross posting to different sites is a great help.
      Thank’s Kristin

  13. Shared on all my socials!

    • Thank you for sharing ^_^!

  14. Yep I cross post across the web
    #getsocial17

    • Wonderful! ^_^
      Thank’s for stopping in.

  15. You are awesome to take the time to post to all those sites, and I am happy that you haven’t had a negative experience. Maybe it’s getting better. I didn’t think about posting to my library. I am constantly checking out books from there. I should post reviews. Thanks for doing TMST this week!
Heidi recently posted…Tell Me Something Tuesday #191: Do You Cross Post Your Reviews? My Profile

    • You are welcome Heidi. Thank’s for visiting TMST post this week!

I’ve been luck to avoid the negative comments that where happening. I haven’t heard of any negativity for a while. In the blogging world it was a big then last year, but I think it’s gotten better. I do wish Amazon would not have the vote up or down on reviews and more moderating on comments. Goodreads is good about moderating.

It takes time to post to all those sites, but as I said I love supporting authors and as long as I keep enjoying I will share where I can.

  17. I actually only post on Amazon.ca and Amazon.com. I do follow you tough on all of the above. However, i like this site the best and your page on Facebook.

    • Thank you Mary for following. I prefer to get emails from the blogs I like and then go to their page. I also follow them on other sites too, but I don’t comment much on the other forms. I do try to do different things on the sites. Like BookLikes I’ll post pictures of the books I pick up at the library. I also put them up on FB and will showcase them at the Monthly Wrap Up, but as you see I don’t put everything on each site. As for reviews: I like to share them, but I make a day of it. Thank’s for stopping in and commenting. Always a pleasure to hear from you.

  18. I do cross post to Goodreads. That’s easy with my UBB plugin, but Amazon usually takes me a little longer. I’m also nervous about posting review titles on Amazon because I’ve heard of so many people’s accounts getting locked and they can’t review. Those are the two main places I review, oh and Netgalley. I really need to get in the habit of the other retailers. I get so distracted when I review at Amazon, I have a huge list of things I need to review so I end up doing a bunch for other products while I’m there. I end up spending a long time just on Amazon.

    • I LOVE Goodreads. It’s the first place all my reviews show up and I’m trying to be more social / active on it. I have the Library Love Challenge group page for those that are participating can join and share the books they read for that month from the library.

I’ve heard of people having issues with Amazon. Not being able to post reviews or having their reviews stollen or people saying mean things on the review for a comment. I’ve not run into those issues and I’m not worried about not being able to post reviews; because I’m a prime member and spend so much on Amazon. It’s my shopping site of choice for a lot of items besides books. ^_^

Thank’s Tanya for commenting and stopping in today. It’s always a pleasure to have you visit and share.
