  20. I haven’t read any Halloween themed books but the scariest book I have ever read is Salem’s Lot by Stephen King.

  42. Growing up I really enjoyed reading the Goosebumps book series by R.L. Stine! I don’t think they were Halloween themed but they were fun to read around Halloween time!

  45. Thank you for the giveaway! I have not read any halloween theme books that I can remember. I think one Jeaniene Frost book with Cat and Bones was around halloween but thats it..lol. I tend to stay with paranormal and urban fantasy 🙂

  47. It’s an older book, but A Night in the Lonesome October by R. Zelazny is good; it’s fun to play spot-the-literary-character, and a spooky story, to boot.

    For a good spooky story that isn’t Halloween related, this year I am recommending The Red Tree by Caitlin Kiernan. It’s not gory, but it is super creepy, and there are lines and images that still make me shiver.

  77. “What’s a great Halloween themed book you have read and liked?” It’s scary-themed as opposed to strictly Halloween-themed: Uzumaki by Junji Ito.

  78. I’m not sure if it’s Halloween themed exactly, but Coraline is a very very good spooky read for pretty much all ages!
