2017 Reading Challenge Updates (Q4) – December

Posted on by

Well I missed posting my quarterly reading challenge update in September. Now it’s the end of the year and time to see how well I did on all those 2017 Challenges.

My Goodreads challenge reading goal was 100 and I read 187 books. Looks like this year I’m going to exceed my goal. Last year I was struggling to meet what I set, so I decreased my goal. Look’s like next year I’ll have to bump it back up.

You can swing on by my goal page to see what I’ve read.

Exceeded Goal

Man I read a lot more CR this year then I expected. I wanted this year to be the year I branch out and read different types of genres, but I never expected to read 33 CR’s. WOW!!
Exceeded Goal
My Goal: 1-30 books per year: New Release Newbie
Number I Completed: 66
Completed
This challenge is reading review books that are 4+ months past due.
I had a total of 7 past due review books to read and I completed all 7 this year. I’m all up to date and no longer have to hang my head.
This last challenge was for March only. I picked out 10 books to read and well I only got to 4 of them on my list and read 3 additional ones that where not on my list, so 7 total.

My picks for this challenge to read:

A Very Jaguar Christmas by Terry Spear
Blood Freed by Traci Douglass
Divine Awakening by Lia Davis
Otherworld Challenger by Jane Godman
Dark Divine by Lia Davis
Blood Cross by Faith Hunter
Midnight Marked by Chloe Neill
The Immortal Who Loved Me by Lynsay Sands
My Wild Irish Dragon by Ashlyn Chase
Vipers Run by Stephanie Tyler

Books I read, but didn’t pick ahead of time

The Sight by Chloe Neill
About A Vampire by Lynsay Sands
Blood Cross by Faith Hunter

  2. Great job on all of your challenges.

    • Thank you!

  3. You Rock Angela!

    • Thank’s ^_^

  4. You did a great job. You read so many books this year.

    • Thank you!!! ^_^

  5. Well done with all your challenges, Angie! You rocked them all 🙂 Good luck with your challenges for next year 🙂

    • Thank you! I’m impressed with how well I did. I’m excited for next year. Got all my challenges picked out.

  6. Oh wow, you’ve completed all the challenges. Amazing, Angel. I didn’t participate in any. I did try a goodreads yearly challenge but failed and then quit. I had a Blog problem and it ruined my reading for a while so I lost the interest to keep up with the goal.

I hope next year is even better for you. ?❤️

    • Hope next year is better for you. Thank’s for stopping bye. Happy Holidays!

  7. You did amazing at your challenges! I should have done the Blogger Shame one, maybe I would have gotten caught up LOL! I’ve been thinking about the Library Love for next year, but I recently moved and am not sure which library I’m supposed to sign up at or any of those details. I am going to once again do the Goodreads and Audiobook though. This year I passed my number on the audiobooks but didn’t get them all reviewed which disappointed me. Maybe I’ll get a chance to get them reviewed before the end of the year.

    • I’m sure you will get your reviews done. NetGalley, ARC’s, and Edelweiss can be just as bad as buying a book. This was the first time I feel behind on review those ARC’s given to me, so I did the Blogger Shame. As for your library, hope online and see which library is yours, then go get that library card. It will help save you some $ throughout the year ^_^. I’d love to have you join even if it’s the 12 books for the library love challenge. Any love is great! I’m going to do the Audiobook for the 1st time, now that I’m loving Audiobooks. I’m excited for next year. Thank’s for stoping by and Happy Holidays!

  8. Great update on your reading challenges here. And quite a few you exceeded…congrats!! 🙂

    • It was a good year. I read a lot more New Releases then expected and I also read more Contemporary Romance books… I had fun!!
