Dragons, duty, destined mates, and a deadly rival...
Silas Llewellyn, the last of a once-mighty dragon clan, doesn’t have time for anything but work and duty. He certainly doesn’t have time for love — not with a ruthless enemy plotting to destroy everything he holds dear. When a priceless diamond — one of the legendary Spirit Stones — surfaces in New York, Silas knows the jewel is nothing but trouble…just like the alluring woman who refuses to relinquish the gem.

Bartender Cassandra Nichols never asked to inherit a mysterious diamond, and she really never intended to come between two warring dragons. But with one near-miss escape after another, she has no choice but to choose sides. Before she knows it, she’s whisked by private jet to an oceanfront estate in Hawaii for her own “protection.” Is the enigmatic Mr. Llewellyn just another billionaire dragon who thinks he can claim anything he wants? Or is there more to the soulful stranger than meets the eye?

ALOHA SHIFTERS: JEWELS of the HEART is a thrilling new series set on the tropical shores of Maui. Each story is a page-turner packed with action, emotion, and romance! If you like Magnum, PI and smoldering hot, alpha shapeshifters, you'll love these books!

Love of the Dragon is book five in the Aloha Shifters: Jewels of the Heart series by Anna Lowe.

This series fast became an entertaining and enjoyable one for me to read. I do feel you need to read the series in order; because previous characters come into play, the hunt for the Spirit Stones and what destiny aka fate has in store for these characters.

Silas is one character the moment he was introduced I couldn’t wait to see who destiny threw in his path to help him learning that being the leader and taking all the responsibility on himself doesn’t have to be done alone. He’s a broody, honorable, and stick to traditions; dragon.

Cassandra, is a bartender that didn’t know about shifters or her witch heritage until about a week ago when her crazy aunt through all of this at her. Her world got turned upside down fast, but she handled it well and showed a backbone of steal even when she was scared.

I loved watching these two come together. Silas fights his dragon all the time, even when he knows that Cassandra is his mate. Cassandra didn’t know much, but she learned fast and didn’t let witch/dragon stuff stop her from falling for Silas.

I was pleasantly surprised by some of the twist thrown into the storyline. The ending was suburb. I’d know from the authors group that she planed to add one more story to this series, but I wasn’t sure how she’d tie it into the Spirit Stone storyline. The ending answered that question and it was well done.

As always Ms. Lowe created a wonderful story that kept me hooked from start to finish.

  1. The author is new to. However, I would be adding this to my list. I love Shifter romances and I find the ones about Dragons intriguing.

    • Ms. Lowe made me a fan with her Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch, then her Salvation Series and now she has the Aloha Shifters. I’ve loved each and every one of these. She has a way with writing that pulls you in and brings out the emotions of her characters. Lots of fun. Thank’s for stopping in, checking out my review, and finding a new author. ^_^

  3. oh Angela I do love Dragon Shifters, I’m in fact reading Deborah Cooke’s Wyvern’s Outlaw, book 4 in her Dragons of Incedium series. Thanks for putting this on on my radar too!

    • Oh the Wyvern’s Outlaw series. Very nice pick. I haven’t tried that one yet, but so do want too. Love the covers and of course DRAGONS ^_^. Glad to help another reader find something they might like.
