My 2017 Library Savings

The library is a great place to try out new books and authors. It’s also a great way to save money. I LOVE my library. I’ve saved so much money this year by using my library. Now that doesn’t mean I still haven’t gone out and bought books in one formate or another. I’m still a book enthusiast and will buy those books I’ve loved.

Below is a list of all the books I picked up for myself in 2017 from my library. This list doesn’t include all the movies and kid books I picked up though.

Featured is the pricing from Amazon as an eBook (why I picked eBook pricing is; because my book collection consists of eBooks) or downloadable audiobook. These prices are what I would have paid had I not used my library and at the end is my total savings.

**Please take note that prices do and can change.

  1. I love that you took a serious look at how much you saved via the library! I use the library mostly for audiobooks, and I LOVE it!

    • It’s pretty awesome how much I saved using my library. I also probably wouldn’t have tried or read half the stuff I did without my library.

  2. That is crazy! You saved SO much! I need to use my library more. If I ever get caught up on arcs

    • Saving money $ is one of the many amazing benefits of using the library. I saved a lot just on my books, audios, and movies alone. Good luck on those ARC’s.

  3. That is a huge chunk of change. I’ve never tried to see how much my library saved me, but I’m sure I would be close to you.

    • I know that’s a lot of $$ money and it doesn’t include all the Movies and Kid books I picked up for the family either. I probably saved close to $800 – $1000 total on everything.

  4. Wow! I’d no idea audiobooks were so expensive!

    • Ya they sure are expensive. You can find deals, but for the most part they will always be over $15 and up.

  5. That’s cool. I am a huge fan of libraries!!!!! I know I save a ton of money and I don’t have much space left in my house for more books.

    • That’s wonderful that you love libraries. I’ve saved so much money this year and space in my home too. ^_^

  6. The library is a wonderful place to get books and review books one may not be sure if they want to buy. I think more people should go to their local library and love it the way we do.

    • Agree… I’ve grabbed books I wasn’t sure I wanted, but wanted to give a try. It saves me that money on buying a book I end up not liking and deciding what to do with the book after. Libraries are amazing!

  7. Great list Angela I also love my library. I volunteer one day a week, I run a book club once a month and I serve on the board of directors to my local library district. Library Love Rules!
