Angel’s Monthly Wrap Up – Jan. 2018

Posted on by

It’s a new year! My year didn’t start off great. My hubby and son rang in the year sick and then to top it off on the second day of January I cut my thumb and had to go to the Urgent Care and got seven stitches. No fun!!! Jan. just hasn’t been a great month. It’s been cold and rainy in California.

I did get some gardening done and saw that some of my bulbs I planted in the fall are coming up. Also my Hibiscus is blooming. Having my plants come to life so early in the year is about the only thing I like about living in California.

It was a slow month for me and the library. I didn’t visit her as much as I usually do. I manly checked out a lot of movies and kid books to read at bedtime with my boy. Take a look at what I did pick up from my library: January 2018 Monthly Library Love

I did a post on Randomness – Echo. My son loves our Echo device. Every morning he asks Alex to play I’m Still Standing by Elton John. He heard the song in the movie “Sing” and feel in love with it, so mom bought the song and now I get to listen too it a lot in the morning.

And, my husband likes to play the Shiny song from Moana. Every morning too. It’s a running joke in our home. LOL

  1. Looks like you’re making an awesome start to your reading challenges (I am in no way behind on my GR challenge already *shifty glances* Lol!)

    • Don’t feel bad about being behind. I’m behind on a few challenges, but I’m just taking it one day at a time.

  2. It’s cool that you have flowers in winter. Everything here is still under snow. I hope you’re having a good February!

    • Living in CA we end up having flowers year round depending on the plant. It’s on of the things I enjoy about CA the other is the warmer weather especially in Spring/Summer when I love to sit outside and read or work on the blog. February so far is going well!! Thank you for visiting Aj.

  3. You posted lots in this month. I enjoy your library posts very much.

    • I’m glad to hear you enjoy the library post. I want to feature/showcase the library more this year especially since I host the Library Love Challenge. ^_^

  4. You had a pretty awesome month!!

    • Thank you!! ^_^

  5. You got some amazing reads this month. Sorry to hear about the family and the finger accident. I’m interested to hear what you thought of Gena Showalter’s Original Heartbreakers. Did you like her writing contemporary?

    • I loved her contemporary. The audios are really good. Their is just something about her Heartbreakers that has applied to me and I’m hooked. Working my way through the audio books. If you have the Romance Package with Audible they are on it. It was a nice reading month. I had two 5 star reads. I new they would be outstanding, but then even if you know it could disappoint, but they didn’t. The finger still has issues. Each day it gets better and better, but it’s not fully healed yet. Thank’s for visiting, Tanya.

  6. So sorry to hear about your family being sick and your accident too!!! Hope February ‘s a better month!! Great wrap up angela!! Shared on all my socials!!

    • As always thank you for sharing. Ya I’m hoping February is better. I’m still not all healed up from my thumb injury. It’s taking a long time, but eat day it’s better and better.

  7. wow great month!

    • Thank you ^_^!
