Book Tag: Behind the Screen

Posted on by

I found the Behind the Screen: Book Blogger Tag at Du Livre. She created this book tag to get to know fellow bloggers.

Blogging isn’t always all about the books, movies, and stuff it’s also about getting to know your fellow bloggers. I like seeing posts that introduce or give us a bit more into the lives of bloggers and also authors. If you ever wanted to get to know me a bit more, now is your chance! If you want more you can check out a few other posts I’ve done on getting to know me or more book tags: here!

When did you start blogging and what was your first review?

I started blogging on January 3rd, 2014. It’s been 4 wonderful years of  blogging. Learning new things, experiences new genres, changing and growing as a blogger.

My first review was/is Clean Sweep (Innkeeper Chronicles #1) by Ilona Andrews. The Andrews team are one of my favorite authors to read. I love everything they have written to date.

Who/what inspired you to start blogging?

My husband suggested that I start a blog featuring book reviews, since I was reading so much.

What is a blog-related goal that you have?

When I started I didn’t have any goals, but now some of my goals are

  • To continue to limit my book spending.
  • To continure to branch out on my reading genres.
  • To continue the Randomness & Delectable Delights posts
  • To do more Discussion Posts

What is one thing you wish someone told you about blogging?

That their is no “right” or “wrong” way to do things.

What was your biggest blog-related accomplishment?

The day I finally figured out how to get my Continue Reading button on the blog to work correctly. It took me 3 years to get that button to work correctly. I finally found a website that had the instructions I needed to fix it. I have to say learning how to work with a website, make changes, etc.. is hard, but rewarding.

What types of posts do you enjoy writing?

I like all types of posts I put on the blog.

Where do you usually blog? What does your setup look like?

In fall/winter I usually blog inside on the couch or on the bed, but in the spring/summer I’m outside as much as I can blogging on my back porch. I have a nice lap portable thing that I put my MacBookAir on to work from.

What was your last 5-star read?

What was your last 1-star read?

What are three words that make you pick up a book?

Words aren’t really what make me pick up a book. The Cover will attract me and then I take a look at the Blurb. If I want more information I might check out reviews on Goodreads, but words I don’t know maybe;

Emotional, Adventures, & Mind-Blowing.

What is your Hogwarts House?

Which Hogwarts house will you be sorted into?

What is your favorite reading environment?

In bed or on the couch, cuddled up with a blanket and hot tea or coffee.

What advice would you give to new bloggers?

Remember that you will find your way. That each of use brings our own experiences and backgrounds to the blogging world. But, first and foremost remember that your blog is about you, so do what is best for you.

I’d love to hear from you. Share your answers below or write your own posts.
