Movie Review: Black Panther (2018)

I went to see the Black Panther in the theater. I could have waited for the movie to come out, but I deiced to check out the movie in the theaters since it’s been getting a lot of hip and also because I’m gearing up for Avengers: Infinity War. Yes, I’m excited for Infinity Wars, but we are hear to talk about Black Panther.

Marvel Studios did a nice job with the Black Panther movie. The cast is groundbreaking with an all black cast. This is the first time we’ve had this in a movie and it worked.

Chadwick Boseman who plays King T’Challa, the King of Wakanda aka the Black Panther did a great job. I enjoyed the sneak peek we got of him in Captain America: Civil War, so when I heard we where getting a movie for the Black Panther I was thrilled.

As for the film it isn’t extraordinary, but it’s not bad either. The action scenes are excited and well played out, keeping you on your toes. Besides the action we are treated to a few funny scenes to add a little humor to what’s going on. As for the character development it was lacking a little along with the emotional portrayals. The characters either where stern and stock or angry. Not much variation. I will say the costumes where amazing. They where both African tribal and futuristic. The added detail to the costumes was a nice touch.

To sum up; the Black Panther movie showcases an advanced technological society, but with backward tribal strifes between each other. The cast is groundbreaking, the costumes are amazing, and the visual affects are great. I enjoyed the movie.

  1. I don’t even know the last time I went into a theatre to see a movie, let alone when I watched a movie on tv…been 2 yesars since we literally unplugged the tv (its a plasma so if its plugged into the wall it still uses a lot of juice) I read, like crazy and son is into gaming as is hubby so we don’t really require tv

    • We went 3 years without TV. We where into video games and moving a lot. It’s been 3 years since I went to the theater by myself. If I go it’s with my son and so it’s a kid movie (special occasion). That’s great you guys go with out TV. I record and watch stuff later. I mainly read or I’m doing activities with my son.

  2. It’s one I’m quite curious to try!
