TMST: Books You Want To Share With Your Young Reader

Posted on by

Rainy Day Ramblings hosts Tell Me Something Tuesday. This week we are sharing books we would like to share with our kids or young readers.

March 20th: What books are you excited to share with your kids or younger readers in your lives?

I have to say; I’ve not really thought about what I would like to share with my child. I have books from when I was a kid that my parents use to read to me. It would be great to share them, but he may not be interested in them. I want my child to enjoy what we read to him and when he starts reading enjoy what he reads.

To start use off we have Artemis Fowl books. My husband is currently reading these books to my son.

Next up Harry Potter. Ya, we (the whole family) are Harry Potter fans. Here is our collection. Besides the Books/CD’s we have all the movies.

The old collection of books that where read to me when I was young. We have Tales From The Crescent Moon by McNeer Lederer copyrighted 1930, Grimm’s Fairy Tales copyrighted 1988, Tepee Stories by Edward W. Dolch & Marguerite P. Dolch copyrighted 1956, & Aesop’s Fables copyrighted 1963.

What books would you like to share with your kid or young reader?

March 27th: How do you feel about the whole mean girl/boy theme?

I'm an outdoor sun loving reader living near San Fransisco. I’m a mother, wife, animal & book lover. I'm the owner, reviewer & mind behind Angel’s Guilty Pleasures. My favorite animals are horses & dogs. As for reading I love all things paranormal & urban fantasy & my favorite shifters are dragons.

  1. My daughter has made me sad because she just has no interest in reading the HP books. Is she crazy? How is she my daughter? LOL!

    • Maybe one day the HP bug will hit her. ^_^ I’m hoping my son likes HP as much as we do. We went to every midnight showing for the movies. I haven’t read the books, but I did listen to the CD’s. They where great for the long car rides when I had them.

  2. I have to agree with Grimm’s Fairytales. I loved those as a kid. I would also recommend Shel Silverstein, Charlotte’s Web, The Giver.
