April 13th – 19th: Is there a fictitious town in a book that you would love to live in? What makes it appealing? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews)

Strawberry Valley, Oklahoma featured in the Original Heartbreakers series by Gena Showalter. I feel in love with Strawberry Valley the moment of it’s introduction. I really like the small town feel of Strawberry Valley and the festivals they do. It all reminds me of my small town growing up, but also the peace, the relaxing feeling you get living with natural around you.

Koa Point, Hawaii featured in Aloha Shifters: Jewels of the Heart by Anna Lowe. Who doesn’t like a tropical island to live on? To have your own private beach to relax on with a sexy shifter at your side. Ya, that would be nice. I like the slow pace of life, not the hustle and bustle.

Nocturne Falls featured in Nocturne Falls series by Kristen Painter. Who wouldn’t love to live in a paranormal town where they celebrate Halloween 365 days a year? I love paranormal creatures, so this would be a fun town for me plus you could dress up as anything and no one would find it not normal.

I’d love to here from you. What Fictional Towns Would You Love To Live In and Why?

I'm an outdoor sun loving reader living near San Fransisco. I’m a mother, wife, animal & book lover. I'm the owner, reviewer & mind behind Angel’s Guilty Pleasures. My favorite animals are horses & dogs. As for reading I love all things paranormal & urban fantasy & my favorite shifters are dragons.

  1. I haven’t read any of these, but I’m definitely excited about the idea of Hawaii. Who wouldn’t want to live there?

  3. This is just making me read Gena’s books as I’ve got a few in my TBR. It sounds like an amazing place, even the name sounds like the quaint town you described it to be.

    • Thank’s Chrissy for visiting.

  6. My own beach with a sexy shifter next to me sounds good.

    • Ah yes the beach. That’s why one of my picks was Aloha Shifters: Jewels of the Heart series. I love a sexy shifter and the beach… perfection!! Thank’s for visiting.

  7. BRB from Jr ward or Karen Marie moning’s fever World!! Love Both!! Shared On All My Socials!!

    • Thank’s for sharing, Kathy.

  8. I’m thinking Lucky Harbor from the Jill Shalvis series maybe. It might be too cold but at least it’s on the water. Of course, there’s Molly Harper’s new series set in Georgia, Lake Sackett, isn’t it? That might be too hot. I like the water and somewhere in-between the cold and the hot.

    • The water is nice. I haven’t tried Hull Shalvis, but I’ve heard of her Lucky Harbor town. I haven’t tried the new Molly Harper series yet.

  9. I think I relate more to small fictional towns then massive cities….I’ve lived in the city but back then it was less then 200,000 people…you could walk it, I did, or I’d ride my bike to where we were to the University. Back then on Sundays the buses didn’t run so you walked. I can’t imagine living in a city of a million people, let alone some place like Tokyo…..so , give me a small town feel and I am comfortable. I really liked the one Armstrong series thats in a small (but weird) town.

    • Yes, Small Towns are the best. Thank’s for stopping in and sharing, Sabina.

  10. I love reading books that take place in small towns. I can’t think of a favorite though. I also read a lot of horror and definitely don’t want to live in those. LOL

    • Oh I wouldn’t want to live in a horror places, but I do like the small towns.

  11. I’m not sure what fictional places I would be interested in living in. Probably Half-Moon Hollow from Molly Harper.

    • Oh yes, Half-Moon Hollow that’s a good places.

  12. I’m not sure what fictional town I would like to live in. The cities I keep thinking of all have winter with the cold and snow. Which is just…yuck. I can understand your love of Strawberry Valley. I don’t think they have enough delivery for me. If we were going to keep in the fictional world, if they had Amazon Fresh, Amazon Prime Now, Ubereats and Doordash I would definitely choose it! LOL I obviously don’t like to go out and prefer everything to come to me. Since this move last December out into a fairly unpopulated area and losing all my delivery services, I’m kind of put off by anything too far away from a city! This was a fun one!

    • Well I can understand not wanting to move to area way from Prime services. I like my delivery services too. Strawberry Valley just sounds lovely. I really enjoy the quiet life, but also the deliver services. ^_^
