When gods and demons clash, mortals bleed.

Leda Pierce’s latest mission brings her back to her hometown at the edge of the Frontier. But things have taken a turn for the worse in the six months since she left home to join the Legion of Angels in New York City. Crime lords now rule over the town, and the beasts’ numbers are exploding just beyond the great magic wall that separates humanity from the plains of monsters.

Together with the fiercely seductive angel Nero, Leda guides a group of pilgrims across the monster-infested expanse to the ruins of the final battle between gods and demons. What begins as a pilgrimage, however, soon turns into a treasure hunt for an ancient weapon that could tip the balance of power between heaven and hell—and spirals into an intrigue that pits Leda and Nero against a rogue member of the Legion, a legendary angel as powerful as he is black-hearted.

I’m hooked on the Legion of Angels series. It’s been a while since I’ve found a series that has hooked me enough where I want to read one book after the other.

Siren’s Song starts not long after Witch’s Cauldron. Leda has been leveled up and now has the power of the Siren’s Song. What this power is, is the ability to compel others to do things.

The Legion has been powering up as many members as possible. Nix, the First Angel hasn’t said why, but we can only guess that something big is coming.

Leda is sent on another mission which takes her back to her hometown, Purgatory. She gets a taste of what being a Legion member really means. She learns that you can’t interfere in anything BUT Legion business, so when Leda sees a women being attacked, her instincts say help, but she can’t. This scene shows us and Leda that she cannot just be herself anymore.

We also see / learn that their are big changes happening in the New York office. Their where some big surprises in Siren’s Song and their are Guardians, not just gods and demons. Who are theses Guardians? Their is more happening then what we know.

I love the action and developments with the relationship; between Leda and Nero. In Siren’s Song, Leda and Nero are taking it slow in whatever their relationship is. We get to learn a little more about the angels and their personalities.

The only thing I didn’t care for is the use of the gods Nector as a recreational drug.

Siren’s Song kept me riveted and wondering what could possible happen next for these characters. I’m picking up the next book, Dragon’s Storm, now. Urban Fantasy fans will enjoy this series.

  1. It is really weird reading the reviews in reverse because I’m just going down my Bloglovin list. I am going to have to tackle this series though.

  2. I’ve kept this review in my email box until I’ve had time to read and comment. I absolutely loved this series, as I probably said in your previous reviews! But that whole girl being attacked thing really struck a cord with Leda but also showed just what Nero would do for Leda. OMG I’m dying for the next book to come to audio!

    • Each book has something that just strikes a cord and brings something new to the series or development for the characters. I’m loving this series. I hope the audio comes out for you.

  3. Ooo I love when a series makes you want to binge! I will check out book one.
