Goodreads Book Tag

Posted on by

I originally found the Goodreads Book Tag at Under The Covers Book Blog. A lot of these tags are done on YouTube, but that’s not my thing, so I’ll share the questions and my answers below. If you want to share with me some of your answers, I’d love to hear from you in the comments.

Goodreads Book Tag

What’s the last book you marked as read? I finished two on the same day, well I ended up giving up (DNF) one book – Chocolate with a side of Murder. By 23% nothing exciting has happened and the characters are bland. As for Gypsy I devoured the book and would have adored it, if it wasn’t for our heroine. That b**ch needed to die. Sorry peeps, but she’s shellfish and it got on my nerves.

What are you currently reading? I’ve got two going at the moment. A sexy Sci-Fi romance – Barbarian’s Taming and a sexy PNR – Captured by her Cougar. Love both these authors and know I’m going to enjoy both books.

What’s the last book you marked as to be read?

What book do you plan to read next? I’ve got another ARC – Dragon Unchained, which is coming out at the end of August, so that will be one of my next reads. I don’t really pick my next read. I’m a mood reader and will go with what I feel like reading.

Do you use the star rating system? Yes, I use the star rating system on Goodreads. I do wish we could do half stars too. If I DNF a book I won’t put any stars. If you are curious as to what my stars mean; then you can visit My Stars Mean page right hear on the blog.

Are you doing a 2018 Reading Challenge? Yes. My current goal is 150 for the 2018, but I’m hoping to go over. Currently as of Aug. 10th read 125 out of 150 books.  You can visit my challenge page HERE.

Do you have a wish list? I do not have a wish list on Goodreads, but I do keep a wish-list on Amazon. My wish-lists are separated into Audiobooks, Kindle, and Paperbacks that I would like to own.

What book do you plan to buy next? Well I’ve pre-ordered the last and final installment in the Kate Daniels series, Magic Triumphs, so that will be my next book bought. I honestly don’t buy a lot of books. I pick up freebies, use my library, and only buy the books I LOVE and will re-read again.

Do you have a favorite quote?

Keep Reading – It’s one of the most marvelous adventures that anyone can have. Lloyd Alexander
“She crouched with her hand out. What the hell was she doing… “Here, kitty, kitty, kitty.” Oh my God, she was retarded and I was going to kill Jim.”Ilona Andrews, Magic Bites, Curran

Who are your favorite authors? In no particular order: Ilona Andrews, Patricia Briggs, Nalini Singh, Gena Showalter, Hailey Edwards, Juliette Cross , G.A. Aiken aka Shelly Laurentson, Lynsay Sands, Anna Lowe, Felicity Heaton, Jeaniene Frost, & Setta Jay.

Have you joined any groups? Yes, I’ve joined a few groups. I also run my own group for the Library Love Challenge hosted by me and Brooke Blogs. You can join the group here. We share what we’ve read for the month from the library, also a place to keep track of your challenge, and more.

Are their any questions you’d like to add? Yes! Do you use the shelving system? If, so what are your shelves? I myself do use the shelving system on Goodreads to keep track of a lot of different things. I like to keep track of all the reading challenges I’m doing for that year. Once the year is done I can delete those and set up for the next year, but it helps me keep track and do my end of year posts. I also like to keep track of star rating and favorite genre or type of character; like angels, demons, dragons, etc… Below are my bookshelves currently on Goodreads. It’s also helping me to keep track of what I own on my nook and kindle and paperback books. Though those shelves I’m still working on at the moment. They are no where current.

I’d love to hear from you. Comment below or set up your own post.

  2. I love GoodReads so I’ll definitely have to do your tag at some point, Angela.

You are definitely on track to go well past your goal. Woohoo!

  3. Your shelves are really impressive. I want to kick myself for not being more specific with my shelves. I have added a few, but I just cannot imagine going back and adding my read books.

    • It is a great tag. I love Kate and Curran. Their fist meet is fabulous. It’s one of my all time favorite quotes in the series. Lucky you to get an ARC of Magic Triumphs. I’ve got my copy ordered. I can’t wait, but I’m also said to see one of my favorites end, but I know they will still have more awesome stuff from the world, so I can’t be to bummed.

Good luck on all your shelf organization. ^_^ Thank’s for visiting.
