Oh My God, you expect me to pick a favorite character from a book. How can I choose just one? I’ve got several characters that are my favorite… Sigh!!! Ok, I guess I’ll go for my all time favorite series Kate Daniels series. Who might you think my favorite in the series will be? Well, I do love Kate and Curran, but I have to say that several of the secondary characters stand out and my favorite is – Barabas Gilliam: Weremongoose. Former Pack lawyer and adviser of Kate Daniels. Separated from the Pack with Curran Lennart and Kate Daniels. Part owner of the Mercenary Guild.

  1. I haven’t read these, but I’ll confess that “Weremongoose” has me intrigued. 🙂

    • It’s quit an interesting species to go with. Kate Daniels series is action-packed and full of wonderful characters and amazing world building. Lots of fun!!!

  2. Ooh, this one is a bit harder than I expected it to be. My favorite character varies–if I’m going with my all time favorite, it would have to be Rochester from Jane Eyre. He was just the perfect broody, Byronic hero. If I’m going modern, it would be Jake Becker from Emma Chase’s Legal Brief series.

    • Excellent picks. Thank you for sharing. I know this one was a little harder, because my favorite changes with my moods and how I’m feeling.

  3. I have so many too angela, but I guess it would be dani from the fever series by Karen Marie moning. She’s a fighter and a free spirit! And my male pick would be wrath from the black dagger brotherhood because…. Well because he’s the king of all the other brothers and he’s the biggest and baddest of all these alpha vampires!!!

    Shared on all my socials!!💖😉

  4. Acheron from the Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon is one of my favorite characters.

  5. Interesting choosing Barabas. It would be so hard to pick a favorite character from the probably hundreds of series I have read. Conlan would certain be my favorite child character. Even though he’s only been in one book, he’s got quite a personality. Maybe Stefan from Patricia Brigg’s Mercy Thompson series. Like Spike from Buffy/Angel, he has a soul, perhaps without really having one due to his relationship with a human. (Dang, that’s almost poetic.)

  6. I have so many I love! I have to say Siena from Wild Cat in the Leopard series by Christine Feehan. She is strong, sexy and fierce!

  7. Barabas is awesome. I tend to love secondary characters best too. If I had to pick an all-time favorite, it would have to be Jenks from The Hollows series by Kim Harrison. He’s like the best sidekick ever. I also love the way he curses with phrases like “Tinks a Disney whore” and “Have you been sniffing fairy farts?”.

    • LOL that’s so funny the way Jenks curses. Now I would like that character. Ya, I love main character too, but I’ve found that some secondary characters can be awesome and add so much to the character, world, and well everything. Thank’s Melanie for sharing your favorite character.
