A mother’s plea, a childless alien’s promise, and a Preor warrior torn between his mate and duty…

After a hundred years of mating, Healing Master Chashan thought he knew all there was to know about his mate, Heart Master Khaza. But the sudden presence of one adorable human baby shows him that he’s very, very wrong.

Now he has a choice: claim a human baby as his own and put joy in his mate’s heart, or turn the child over to human authorities.

Which will he choose? Honor or love?

This short story is set in the DRAGONS OF PREOR world and is a little bite of family life for those who fell in love with the Preor dragons.

A Baby for Chashan

A Baby for Chashan is book nine in the Dragons of Preor series by Celia Kyle as Erin Tate.

Here we see the Healing Master Chashan and his mate the Heart Master Khaza. These two have been trying to have children for a long time, but with no luck and with Preor women only coming into their cycle on rare occasions, not like humans, it’s been hard, more so for Khaza who really wants a child of her own.

Their isn’t much background to the characters. We see them in the main series. In this short story we see them take in a human child that is not of their blood and love it as if it where their own child. We also see that humans with the right incentive will give up their own flesh and blood.

A Baby for Chashan is a short story, but also a sweet one. For me it was a little to short, so just an ok read.

  1. I need to try some of her sci-fi stuff. I did love her shifter series I tried.

    • ^_^ Hope you enjoy!

  2. Only 46 pages, it isn’t much. It is hard to do the necessary development in that few pages. If you didn’t already know the series, I’m guessing it would be difficult to follow.

    • Ya it’s nice for those that follow the series, but as a stand alone novella not so good. It’s short and you don’t get much on the characters. We do see them throughout the series, so that’s how we know them.

  3. Sounds like a nice addition to the series. That cover sure is cute.
