Books I’ll Probably Never Read Tag

Posted on by

I saw this tag at a GREAT read who found it over at Fiction No Chaser who originally saw it over at Hot Shot Headlines. I picked the first book that popped in my head when I thought about each of these question.

A REALLY HYPED BOOK YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN READING

This is a series, Charley Davidson. I was not getting into the series and stopped after book 3 or 4, but many love the Charley Davidson series.

SERIES YOU WON’T BE STARTING/FINISHING

I won’t be finishing the BDB books or trying out the spin-off in the world. I stopped at book 12, The King. I really enjoyed the early books, but then we started having to many plot threads and never finishing those threads. I also learned a few spoilers about The King and a few of the other books after that one in the series, so I just haven’t been invested in continuing. Many love the series and I still love the earlier books.

A CLASSIC YOU’RE NOT INTERESTED IN

F. Scott Fitzgerald are popular classics, but I’ve got no interest in reading them.

A GENRE YOU NEVER READ

Chick Lit is something I stay away from and I’m not interested in.

A BOOK ON YOUR SHELVES YOU WILL PROBABLY NEVER ACTUALLY READ

This goes back to that series question. I pre-ordered this book, but I’ve never read it and have no plans to.

I’d love to hear from you.
What are your answers to the questions?

  1. I’ve been curious about the JR Ward series, but I have trouble with any of the super long UF series–I just can’t bring myself to commit to so many books!

    • It is long and only getting longer. I liked the early JR Ward, but then things stoped working for me. I know how you feel. I’ve got some long PNR/UF series I’d like to try, but am intimidated by the length. Thank’s for visiting!

  2. I really didn’t like The King. I think The Shadows came after it, which I listened to and didn’t enjoy it. I refused to listen to The Beast, as Hollywood was always my favorite and I didn’t want her to ruin him for me.

    • Yep The Shadows after The King and I didn’t want Beast to be ruined for me; because I really loved their book, so I haven’t read The King or any after and I don’t plan too.

  3. I started the Cassandra Clare Mortal Instruments series and got through the first four books, but lost interest in those. I felt like the story was finished.
I’ve had no desire to read Sarah J Maas books even though they get recommended to me a lot.
I love classics, but I just can’t seem to get into Ernest Hemingway’s books.
I would have to say that Horror is the genre I never read even though I’ve read a few books and liked them that classify as horror.
Last year, I started giving away loads of books on my shelves that I never plan to read. There have been a few unsolicited books from publishers that were for books in a long-standing series that I won’t read.

    Fun tag, Angela!

    • Oh, I read the “Mortal Instruments” too and I stopped at 4 as well. Ah, Horror yes that is another genre I haven’t touched and won’t.

Thank’s for sharing your answers to the tag. It was quick and fun. Have a great weekend!

  4. 1The Mister by EL james( it’s had awful reviews)
2 war and peace by k. Webster,I read book one and it was messed up . Not my thing!
3 adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark twain
4 chick out for me too
5 from unseen fire by Cass Morris

Shared on my socials! Great tag!??

    • Thank’s for sharing your answers to the questions.

  5. I’m not into classics really myself so I don’t blame you for not wanting to read The Great Gatspy.

    • I’m not a classic person either, but their is one classic I’d like to read one day – Interview with the Vampire. Thank’s for stopping in.

  6. I don’t read chick lit, either. The books don’t have enough death and destruction for me.

    • I agree with you on the chick lit. Thank’s for stopping in.

  7. Oh I’m so sad to see the BDB on your list! Those books did go through a rough patch, but I think they are getting back on track. Although I don’t see how much farther there is for her to go with the series since all the Brothers are mated. I’m not done with The Savior yet, so we’ll see how this ends and if there are any threads left open.

I’m not a classics person myself so I don’t know what I would pick. There are so many that I wouldn’t know where to begin. Nice tag!

    • I’m not a classic person either, but went with the first classic that popped in my head. As for BDB I’m glad you are still enjoying the series. I agree it is a long series and all the Brothers are mated, so it might be time for it to end, but who knows. Hope The Savior is good and you enjoy! Thank’s for stopping in.

  8. Finally another person who has no interest in reading Fitzgerald. I was starting to think I was the lone wolf. I’m a classics lovers, but he’s never really tempted me.

    • I’m not a classics person, but Fitzgerald is the one who I have no interest in reading/trying. The movie was great, but other then that no interest in his books. Thank’s for stopping in Angela ^_^.
