Angel’s Monthly Wrap Up – Jan. 2020

WELCOME to January’s
Monthly Wrap Up

January was a slow month.  I like slow months.  Gives me time to recoup after the holidays.  I was so happy for school to be back in session.  We were all going a little stir crazy by the end of our winter break.  This month my son had to work on a Heritage project for school.  Most of the kids they’re grandparents just moved to America, but for our family we’ve been in the USA for generations now.  I had to go on and try out the free trial.  I tracked my mom’s side all the way back to the 1850’s when they moved from Germany to America, so my boy interview his grandma, my mom, to learn about the Strasser side and why they decided to come to America.  His school had a dance party at the end of the month called Neon Nights.  It was a lot of fun and much better than last years, which was called Winter Ball.  The kids loved the lights and glowing in the dark.

It was a sad month for my family.  We had to say Goodbye to our fur baby, Saphira.  She was diagnosed with throat cancer last year.  It was aggressive and we knew it was coming, but it’s always hard to say goodbye to a family member.  At this time we are pet less and aren’t in a hurry to get another one, but we will eventually.  I’m feeling the loss everyday.  She did everything with me and was the first one to great me out of bed.

I’m so sorry for the loss of your beloved pet! Our pups are an important part of our family, so I understand how hard it is to lose one, even if you knew it was coming.

You had a pretty great reading month. Sorry about your fur baby. That is so tough. My parents dog had a fast moving bone cancer. It was devastating.

My mom was really into family tree, went around to graveyards, talked to old relatives so I have a computer program with all kinds of info and stories. But she did most of that 30 years ago. I’ve done more with photos and scrapbooks. I’m sorry about your fur baby. We lost our Gina after almost 17 years in late 2018 and it was rough. It took me awhile to even think about a new pet but we have certainly loved Lulu! Wow with the books! I’m happy to see you are reading along with us! I love the Read-along… Read more »

*Hugs.* Sorry about your dog. I had to do the thing in college. It was really interesting. Almost all of my great grandparents came from rural Russia, so I couldn’t track my family back very far. I hope you have a great February!
