Okay, maybe hijacking an alien commander’s warship wasn’t her best idea…

Genius computer geek Wren Traynor prefers her high-tech comp lab to socializing with people, and she definitely prefers it over crawling through the bowels of the huge Eon warship she’s hijacked. When Earth’s Space Corps blackmails her into this deadly mission, Wren will do anything to help her beloved sisters and save the Earth from invasion by the insectoid Kantos aliens. That includes entering into a dangerous game of cat and mouse with the tall, hunky, and seriously enraged Eon war commander who captains the Rengard...

War Commander Malax Dann-Jad is a born protector and has forged a successful career in service to the Eon Empire. Haunted by an early mission where he lost good warriors, he’s dedicated to protecting his ship and its crew. Especially since his warship is carrying a special, top-secret cargo. But one tiny, infuriating Terran puts all that at risk when she commandeers his ship and refuses to listen to reason!

When the ravenous Kantos set their sights on the Rengard - using sneaky, underhanded tactics - Malax finds himself with an armful of curvy woman. He and Wren must join forces to fight back, and are shocked at their improbable, intense attraction. But with lives at risk, both will learn that strength comes in more ways than one, and love can hit when you least expect it, and that in order to survive, you have to put everything on the line!

Heart Of Eon is book three in the Eon Warriors series by Anna Hackett.

Here we move onto Wren, the baby sisters, to Lara and Eve. Wren is not a warrior/soldier like her sisters. She’s a computer wiz/hacker in the family. That doesn’t stop Earth’s Corp from blackmailing her too and having her steal an Eon Warship full of Eon Warriors.

Wren is brave, bright, and a woman with heart. She’s doesn’t kick ass like her sisters, but she can do things with a computer that most can’t.

Malax, War Commander of the Rengard, the ship that’s been hijacked by Wren. He needs to get control back of his ship even if he is intrigued by the small human who’s hiding on his ship and running rings around him and his crew.

I had a lot of fun with this one and I really like that we get a regular woman, one who has no special soldier training, becoming a mate to an Eon Warrior. I like Wren and that she is different from her sisters and determined to save Eve, even if it’s no longer needed. The way she sneaks onto the ship, takes control, and keeps the Eon Warriors running around, was a lot fun. Their is no shortage of action, battles, surprise’s, and fun banter. I enjoyed the banter between; Wren and Malax, which is a prelude to them hooking up and becoming mates. The romance was sweet and fun.

Heart Of Eon was another fabulous read in the series and I can’t wait for more. Anna Hackett is a must read for any Science Fiction Romance fans. She has a way of pulling you into the world, characters, story, and romance.

** This series should be read in order.

  1. Yay I’m glad you enjoyed this one so much! Someday I’ll get to this series.

    • I really enjoy Hackett’s work. She’s got a way with sci-fi romance. Hope you enjoy her when you get a chance.

  2. Oh this one does sound good, so I’m glad to see you gave it 5 stars! I always love the heroines who are overlooked! Sounds like she’s awesome. I love the covers – are they tattoos, or scales, or?

    • I know she was not your typical heroine and complete different from her sisters. I really loved her. She’s fierce and determined. Just an waste heroine to love. They have this symbiont connected to them in that it can become armor, weapons, tools, etc…. Think Felicity Heaton’s Fae in her Eternal Mates series with their armor that covers their body when they need it. It’s cool her aliens and their cool armor life form. I think you’d like this series, if you haven’t picked it up yet.

  3. Oh I think I would enjoy these. Good to know they should be read in order.

    • They are fun. I like this series. Hope you enjoy! ^_^

  4. I love that cover and your review makes me think that I would probably enjoy this one.

    • The covers for this series are great. I like Hackett’s work. I think you’d enjoy.

  5. Oh yes, this does sound like a hoot! I like that she’s an average jane type with smarts, too.

    • Me too. I loved how different she was from her sisters. She’s a genius computer geek, not athletic, but boy does her mind work and has these Eon Warriors running around. It was a lot of fun. This is my favorite of the series so far.

  6. i’ve seen anna’s name around but i don’t think i’ve read any of her work. i’ll be checking my kindle, especially after reading your 5 star review
