A FUN note to start off with.
My son loves the new LEGO Masters TV Show. It’s gotten him back into LEGO’s and he’s asked to do bigger builds, so we did the Space Station (800 pieces). And, he’s currently working on the Tree House (3,036 pieces). It still has a long way to go, but it’s coming along.
My PaintPlot Adult Paint by Number Kits that I ordered arrived this month. I purchased both kits from Paint Plot: Hidden Cherry Blossom & Four Season Tree of Life. I started the Cherry Blossom and have been doing a little each day. It’s relaxing and a good way to pass the time now that we are stuck at home.
SMILE! The plants and flowers are blooming. Here is my garden. These brighten my day and add little sunshine during these trying times.
MARCH
The beginning of the month was good! Then midway through everyone started panicking and stores were running out of TP, Kleenex, Hand Sanitizers, Noodles, Milk, Eggs, etc…. Next, came the school closers, the stay-at-home order, and if you do go out stay at least 6 feet away from people.
We’ll life at home changed for use when my sons school closed. My son is now attending mommy school. (AHHH!) All our after school activities have been canceled or moved to Zoom (online). For me I’m not a social person, so having to stay at home isn’t too hard. The hard part is having my hubby and son home 24-7. I have to be a teacher, home maker, wife, mom, chef, etc… My me time is gone (cry). I have no downtime and can rarely find some alone time for myself.
As for reading I’m sure many of you are reading up a storm. That’s great! ^_^ For me I haven’t picked up a book since March 10th when I found out school was closing after that week. I want to read, but I can’t; because I get interrupted multiple times and that is just annoying for a book reader who get’s absorbed into the book they are reading/listening too. So, what have I been doing? I’ve been bing watching TV. If I’m interrupted on that I don’t mind; because I don’t get sucked into it like I do with books.
Now, I was hopping for school to start back up after Spring Break, which was the plan, but we got an email from the school saying that they don’t know when kids can return. With the change in my home life you will notice the blog slowing down. I’m going to be posting less. I’ll have maybe 3 posts a week. My time is now dedicated to my sons eduction and keeping him occupied. Their are no plans of closing the blog down, just slowing things down until life can return to our semi-regular schedule.
Take care. Stay safe. Enjoy this time with family. And be well.
Thank you for visiting!

Quite the Lego champ, there. 🙂 I love the idea of the adult paint by numbers kits. I should try some of that. I’ve had out my adult coloring book a few times and I have a puzzle to do.
I totally get the need for ‘me’ time. I’m pretty lucky because I still have mine while my husband is working overtime and dealing with lots of crabby people. I let him have the TV and movie picks when he’s here and don’t say anything if all he has the energy for is taking long naps. He gives me a little grief over the healthy menus I’ve made us stick to, but we snack now and then, too. I’m just trying to keep him in optimal health since he has to be in contact with many other people each day for his job.
Our schools here in Michigan are pretty much done until next school year.
No worries if you need to take a sabbatical from blog stuff. Family first!
🙂

It’s a rough time. I may not have a younger child at home but the whole routine is changed. That’s true of almost everyone. Well, this will only be for a time and as difficult as it may be, try to enjoy your time with your family. People are re-arranging their routines so everyone gets a break. Good luck and I hope you get some reading into your new routine.

I completely understand the slow down on the blog. Luckily I do not have any school age children. What a disaster that would be! I’ve been buried in either my switch or a book. Unfortunately, not audio books which I’m getting behind on. Both the gaming and reading I can’t stand being interrupted. Which is just what my day is made up of when I’m working from home. I hope your family comes through this ok and you are all staying safe!

Well April will still be pretty full, but I’ve spreed out my reviews more and plan to not take on as many book tours. It’s just hard having everyone home 24-7. I’ve got to cook 3 meals a day now and make sure everyone stays active plus do school work. Not much me time. My slump on reading broke this weekend a little. We’ll see how long it lasts. I’m stressed, but we’re all staying safe and healthy! Thank’s for visiting.
