Kindle Unlimited Jaunt [6]

Posted on by

In Dec. & Jan. I read a lot of books in Kindle Unlimited. I finally got caught up on some series I really enjoy and tried a bunch of new stuff. Check out what I devoured!

What I read in December/January

A Family for the Alien Warrior by Honey Phillips & Bex McLynn – I always look forward to a new book in the Treasured by the Alien series. It’s not out of this world, but it has this sweet side to it and I love how the aliens accept the children that come with the women they have picked. It’s heartwarming, sweet & lighthearted!

The Beginners Guide To Necromancy series by Hailey Edwards – I adore this series. I hadn’t read the last 2 novellas featuring our couple Grier and Linus. We’ve got the Honeymoon & the Baby ^_^. Both where sweet reads.

The Potentate of Atlanta series by Hailey Edwards – This is in the same world as Beginners Guide To Necromancy. Its a redemption storyline for one of the characters that is featured in the other series. I finally read books 3, 4, & 5. Now I’m all caught up. Great UF. Lots of action.

Khanavai Warrior Bride Games series by Margo Bond Collins – I gave it a try. Not a fan! It’s got the Bachelorette/Bachelor trope game show going on. I do not watch those shows on TV. I don’t like that type of drama. I read books 1 & 2. One was a freebie and two was in KU. Neither story made me want to read on in the series. I will say book two was a bit better then one, but I’m not a fan.

Ice Planet Barbarians by Ruby Dixon – I really love this series. I finally read book 16 & the novella 17. Sexy blue aliens on an ice planet. Still haven’t finished the series, but I will.

Icehome series by Ruby Dixon – So after I got caught up on the Ice Planet Barbarians to the point where we spin-off into all the new arrivals we move onto the Icehome. It’s on the same planet just new arrivals human and aliens. It’s a lot of fun and I’m devouring the books. Read so far books 1 – 7.

Heart of Malice (Alice Worth #1) by Lisa Edmonds – I read a review for this one & it made it sound like something I might like. It was ok! The magic and mystery where cool, but not keen on the love interest(s). Not sure if I’ll read on. I’ve been having trouble finding books that keep my interests and pull me enough into them to read on. This series is UF.

Shadow Thief (Flirting with Monsters #1) by Eva Chase – I devoured the book. I liked it enough that I plan to read on. I’m not sure if its a reverse harem type, but what got me was the interesting creatures, magic, and how devoted our heroine is to her cause of freeing Shadow monsters. We will see on the romance side. Our lead does hook up with the 3 Shadow men we meet, but she only sleeps with one of them fully.

Premonition Pointe series by Deanna Chase – Read book 1 & 2. I wasn’t overly impressed. I thought I might like this sereis, because I’ve been finding other over 40 heroine books that have been great and I loved, but this just didn’t have that same fun and enjoyable feel as others I’ve liked.

    • It’s always nice to get caught up in a series you’ve been enjoying. Thanks for visiting!

  2. Very cool! I love seeing what you’ve been reading from KU. I’ve been using a free trial since mid-December that is up next week. I’ve caught up on a couple of my favorite series and been using the system of reading the ones on my wish list that are most expensive to buy. Great method, right? LOL

    • I’ve been doing the same. I’m currently on a deal until mid-April and I’m trying new authors and series that I’ve had my eye on. If I really love the books I’ll buy them like Anna Hackett which I’ve ended up buying her books later on when I’ve got GC. KU is a nice way to pick up books that might be to expense or to try a new authors you aren’t sure on. I’ve had luck with KU and it’s helped me not buy books I won’t be reading again or I end up not liking. Thank’s for visiting!
