Mated werewolves Charles Cornick and Anna Latham must discover what could make an entire community disappear - before it's too late - in this thrilling entry in the number one New York Times best-selling Alpha and Omega series.

In the wilds of the Northern California mountains, all the inhabitants of a small town have gone missing. It's as if the people picked up and left their possessions behind. With a mystery on their hands and no jurisdiction on private property, the FBI dumps the whole problem in the lap of the land owner, Aspen Creek, Inc. - a.k.a. the business organization of the Marrok's pack.

Somehow, the pack of the Wolf Who Rules is connected to a group of vanished people. Werewolves Charles Cornick and Anna Latham are tasked with investigating and soon find that a deserted town is the least of the challenges they face.

Death sings in the forest, and when it calls, Charles and Anna must answer. Something has awakened in the heart of the California mountains, something old and dangerous - and it has met werewolves before.

Wild Sign is book six in the Alpha & Omega series by Patricia Briggs and narrated by Holter Graham.

Briggs has done it again. I was captivated and couldn’t stop. I ended up staying up way too late listening to Wild Sign. It was more than I expected.

The Alpha & Omega series is different in its pacing to the Mercy Thompson series. It starts off a bit slow, but then things pick up and away we go.

I just adore and love seeing Charles and Anna together. Their working and personal relationship keeps growing and we learning new things in each novel.

I relish learning about The Merracks pack and expanding the world and characters in the Alpha & Omega series. This time around we get to dive into Leah’s past and see how she ended up mated to Bran. Now I never cared much for Leah and still I’m not a fan, but I understand her better. I still feel Bran could have something better, but for some reason their weird relationship works.

It was a delight seeing and work with Tag who is one of the Merracks out of control wolves. Tag gets too tag along with Anna and Charles to Wild Sign where they must find out what happened to this small peaceful town.

I treasure the appearances of characters that pop up in these novels. This time we get Coyote and also Samual, who is one of Bran’s son. Last, the ending had me elated and sad. I so can’t wait for the next novel.

Audio: Holter Graham continues to do a masterful job narration the Alpha & Omega series. He sets the tone, enhances the characters, and adds another layer of depth to the story. I love the narration and highly recommend the audiobooks.

  7. Great review – I agree 100%. I wish we were getting another Omega book next (instead of Mercy) or that we see how the ending of this one plays out in the next Mercy book. Because I don’t want to wait 3 years to find out!
