Aug. 3rd, 2021: Do you like to read with others (buddy reads, readalongs, bookclubs, etc)?

Yes and No…  I’ve done a few read-alongs, but I don’t necessarily read the books in the month they list.  I usually do a bing of the series they are doing for the read-along!  I’m currently doing the read-along with Books of My Heart.   I also like to read to my son and vise versa.

As to No well that goes with buddy, bookclubs, etc…  I’ve never been interested in bookclubs.  I want to read what I like not something that is the book of the month.  I’ve also never done a buddy read or other reading together stuff.  They just don’t appeal.

Aug. 10th, 2021: Tell us about the best summer job you’ve had.

  1. I love that you read with your son b/c I’m convinced that being read to as a kid really helps people develop a love for books early. I’m a so-so read with others person. I like it at times, but other times I just want to read a book to myself.

    • I love reading to my son or him to me. I agree early reading is a great way to fall in love with books ^_^. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this TMST.

  2. No, it’s not really my thing.

  3. Well obviously I like the Read-along as I host one every year. I also have come to love COYER book club. They both are enhanced by the FB chats. Buddy reads can be tough because people don’t always read at the same rate or schedule well. I can do them but sometimes they are harder.

    • I may need to check out COYER a lot of bloggers seam to like it. I enjoy the read-along you host. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this TMST.

  4. I’m in two book clubs and I’ve always really enjoyed them because it gets me to try different books, or learn about different books!
