4/12/2022: What book has been sitting on your TBR pile the longest?

I joined Goodreads back in 2012 and that’s when I started keeping track of books I wanted to read and have read. My TBR keeps getting longer and longer each year even with me going through it now and then to cull the herd of books.

The book that’s been on my TBR the longest is NEVER AGAIN by Michele Bardsley. I put this book on my TBR because I had read Bardsley’s Broken Heart series and enjoyed. I wanted to try some of her other series and this one sounded interesting. I enjoy witches and wizards.

Welcome to Nevermore, Texas, population 503, where witches and wizards live side by side with humans. Small towns like Nevermore are vanishing in America—and in this case, that could be the work of a freelancing witch…

Cursed and Double Cursed

Lucinda Rackmore never would have been caught dead in a town like Nevermore. Of course, that was before the “great reckoning” drained the family finances and her former lover, ruthless master wizard Bernard Franco, snuffed out Lucy’s magical abilities.

But can Lucy really expect protection from the Guardian of Nevermore, her ex-brother-in-law, Gray Calhoun? Gray wants nothing to do with her—and Lucy can’t blame him. Not after her sister sacrificed him to a demon lord. Still, with everyone in town looking to settle a score with the Rackmores and Bernard bent on dragging Lucy back into his clutches, Gray might be her only hope for survival.

I’d love to hear from you!

  1. So I checked my Goodreads and these are the two oldest on my Want to Read list.

Hunted by the Others (H&W Investigations, #1) by Jess Haines
Sins of the Heart (Otherkin, #1) by Eve Silver

I can’t tell you anything about either of these books/series/authors.

The oldest audiobook on my phone that I haven’t listened to is:

His Majesty’s Dragon (Temeraire #1) by Naomi Novik

Maybe one day I’ll get back to these. Maybe this topic will give me the kick in the butt to give them a try.

    • WOW! Sins of the Heart sounds good and I’ve got Hunted by the Others on my TBR. I put that one on my TBR back in 2014 ^_^. I’ve also seen a few reviews for His Majesty’s Dragon. I do enjoy a good dragon story. Thanks for sharing and who knows maybe will read or listen to a back list title on our TBR.

  2. Oh! I didn’t even think to go on Goodreads to check. But then again, when I joined GR, I dumped a whole bunch in on that first date (July 2010). And then later (about 6 years ago), I went through and deleted a bunch of books that I knew I’d never read. It’s a fun question.

    • Ya I started Goodreads before I even started my Kindle Library. I wanted to keep track of my books in a better way than a spread sheet on what authors/series I liked and books I wanted to try. I really do need to go through my Goodreads and my Kindle library and clean them both up. I also still want to read NEVER AGAIN by Michele Bardsley. ^_^ Thanks for visiting!

  3. OK I started using Goodreads after I got my Kindle, looks like 2011. From October 23, 2011 Dead or Alive by Tom Clancy (Jack Ryan Universe #15)

    • I started using Goodreads before Kindle and all those freebies. I needed a better way to keep track of the authors/sereis I enjoyed. ^_^ WOW a Tom Clancy novel. Thanks for visiting, sharing, and Happy Reading!
