Darkness Unleashed
A scarred recluse, Jagr makes no secret of his disdain for others’ company. But now, as a member of Chicago’s powerful vampire clan, he has certain obligations to fulfill. The latest: track down a missing were pureblood and return her to her sister. The problem: Regan Garrett has no intention of complying. And though Jagr agreed not to harm an inch of this stubborn female’s distractingly tempting body, he’ll gladly kiss her into submission, awakening an urge he hasn’t felt in years. Hell, in centuries. . .
Regan vowed never to be at the mercy of another man. That goes double for arrogant, steel-muscled vampires with eyes of ice. All Regan wants is revenge against those who imprisoned her. She doesn’t need an ally. She certainly doesn’t need a mate. But soon Regan will have to choose–between a lust for vengeance, and a passion as dark and dangerous as the night. . .
After meeting Jagr in Darkness Revealed I wanted to read his story. Alexandra Ivy delivered a sexy gorgeous hero, courageous heroine, sly humor, action, suspense and hot passion. I crave this series like I crave ice cream. I am total hooked and always ready to read more.
I had so much fun reading Darkness Unleashed. I feel in love with Jagr right from the beggining and wanted to know everything about him. What happened to him? Why does he stay away from his fellow vampires? All of the things I wanted to know Ms. Ivy delivered to me as well as a great heroine who total complemented Jagr. I so do enjoy when both the hero and heroine fit together.
Regan kicked ass even with her troubled past she learns to over come it. She has a whole heap of issues and with Jagr’s past he is the right person/vampire to help her come to terms with all those issues. I enjoyed her character growth and development over the story and how meeting Jagr changed her and that she realizes her priorities have changed. Ms. Ivy also brings sly humor to this story in the form of a little gargoyle named Levet(I love this gargoyle) and of course I did enjoy the real life references to people, tv shows, etc. She had me laughing, but she also had me pulled into the characters story and how it would all turn out. We feel what they are feeling. By the time they have their intimate moment there is something more, something deeper then the physical.
I am looking forward to the next book in Alexandra Ivy’s Guardians of Eternity series. I will say that this book can be read as a standalone and it’s not necessary to read the other’s first, but you will get much more enjoyment out this book and the series if read in order.

Yeah, I for sure need to give Ivy a chance too, but I’m thinking Terry Spear is going to have to come first. But I’m putting this series on my wishlist! I’m sure I’ll be feeling a PNR binge sometime in the near future.

I’m enjoy Ivy’s Guardians. I never would have looked into Ms. Ivy if it was not for the Bayou Heat. I hooked now! Good luck in your TBR list. ^_^

This sounds like a great paranormal romance read! Unfortunately, I have too many of those on my TBR shelf already… and the fact that it’s book 5 in this series is kinda discouraging too. One of these days I’ll give Ivy’s writing a try, just not today. Happy Friday Angela!

Happy Friday to you too Carmel. I know how you feel I have so many TBR’s. Maybe some day you will get around to trying Ivy out. Book one in the Guardians of Eternity is Eh, but after that things get much better. I only found out about Ivy through the Bayou Heat series she does with Laura Wright. I’ve not read anything else by Laura though I hope to some day.
