Today I’m very lucky to be interviewing one of my favorite Authors, Setta Jay. Her latest release Searing Ecstasy has been the most anticipated title in the series to date, at least for me. Thank you Setta for taking time to talk with me today!

How did you come by creating The Guardians of the Realms series? What inspired this amazing series?
It came to me while reading Gena Showalter’s Lords of the Underworld series. I love the whole Pandora’s Box twist she used and that’s what really inspired me. The Guardians of the Realms started as “what if” Greek Gods and creatures of myth truly existed. If so, what happened to them? Where did they go? I also love the whole grain of truth concept which left things open to exciting possibilities when creating the different Immortal races.
What is your favorite character in the series to date? Why?
Wow. I’m not sure I can answer this. I love them all for different reasons. I guess I kind of love all my sassy heroines, maybe because I wish I were like them. Nastia’s snarky attitude was a ton of fun to write in both Binding Ecstasy and Searing Ecstasy. But, Alex will probably always hold a special place in my heart. She was the female who started it all and I love her strength, powers, vulnerability and her sweet relationship with her brothers and then with Uri.
Which of your characters would you most/least likely invite to dinner and why?
I’d probably feel most comfortable having dinner with Rain from Denying Ecstasy. Mainly because her personality is so inclusive and fun. Also because she likes her cocktails. I think dinner with Brianne or Nastia might skate a fine line of jail time. 😉 I don’t know that I could eat with any of the males. LOL They’re all too intense and sexy, so I’d probably feel super uncomfortable and awkward.
I know readers are probable dying for a little Drake dishing. I myself have been fascinated with him from the beginning. Since Searing Ecstasy is his story, would tell us a little about him, maybe a few secrets that no one knows about yet? Please Oh Please! ^_^
Secrets? Wow, you’re really making this difficult. LOL I think Searing Ecstasy delves into his character and shows him for the incredible male and leader he is. I don’t want to spoil anything, but there are things in the book that set him apart. Here is one sexy secret that wasn’t shared before Searing Ecstasy:
One hand trailed over his burning skin until he grasped his hard cock. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d felt female hands on his skin. Unlike other male Immortals, he’d never been ruled by his dick. He didn’t require sex to fuel his powers, it had only ever eased an ache, which had become less and less worth the effort. Now his body needed a female… his female. Only Delia could fix this and he couldn’t fucking have her. His snarls echoed off the high rock ceiling as he breathed through his mounting fury.
Lastly, what is next for you?
I have two more books (possibly three) in the Guardians of the Realms series which are currently in a four month publishing rotation. I have spin-offs from there along with a potential erotic Sci-Fi and an erotic suspense series I’d love to tackle when I have time.

Hi Mai T. 🙂 This is a tough one. In books I love ones with smart, powerful, rather kick-ass heroines, but I’m rather boring in real life. As far as T.V. shows I love mysteries (Murder, She Wrote), crime (Criminal Minds) and bad reality (I plead the fifth). LOL If you have a show with a germaphobe… oh no… I think I might be Adrian Monk! No, he was solving mysteries in the episodes and I only uncover them while writing novels. 😉 Let’s see, I did see a couple of episodes of Mike and Molly and one of those, where she was nutty trying to write her next book, totally resonated with me. 🙂
