Interview: Kim Cresswell (Deadly Shadow) ~ #Excerpt

Posted on by

Hello and Welcome All!

Today I’m very lucky to be interviewing Kim Cresswell author of Deadly Shadow.

How did you select your narrator?

Selecting a narrator isn’t as easy as it sounds. Some voices are too high. Some are too low. Others are too fast or too slow. I had an idea of what I wanted my main characters to sound like because Deadly Shadow has a lot of emotional backstory and that was important to me as far as selecting a narrator. I listened to numerous auditions before selecting Robin’s audition which was perfect for my characters and the story.

Are you an audiobook listener? What about the audiobook format appeals to you?

I was never an audiobook listener until about eight months ago. I l love them! What appeals to me is that books truly come to life in audio. The listener hears and feels every part of the action and emotion in a story. It pulls them in and keeps them connected to the story.

If this title were being made into a TV series or movie, who would you cast to play the  primary roles?

My *dream* cast for the TV series would be:
FBI Agent Victory McClane played by Mireille Enos

Government Assassin Derrick Lynn played by Gino Anthony Pesi

President Burke played by Ray Liotta

Ryan Slater (Victory’s partner) played by – Chad Michael Murray

Jeremy Elder played by Jason Ritter

What’s your favorite:

  1. Food – Chocolate!
  2. Song – Sign of the Times by Harry Styles
  3. Book – Waiting Wives by Donna Moreau
  4. Television show  – There are so many to choose from. Fringe is one of my favorite TV shows. I was devastated when it went off the air.
  5. Movie – The Last of the Mohicans
  6. Band –  I’m a huge Meatloaf fan!
  7. Sports team – I’m not a sports-type person at all.
  8. City – My own city! London, Ontario Canada, known as The Forest City.

What’s next for you?

I’m presently working on a super-secret book project co-authored with a super-talented author and friend.  I can’t say much more about the project at this time, but it will be spectacular! I’m also writing the second book in The Assassin Chronicles series: Invisible Truth and the fourth book in my action-packed Whitney Steel romantic thriller series: Redemption.

Thank you very much for taking the time out of your busy schedule to take part in this interview.
