Hello and Welcome All!
Today I’m very lucky to be interviewing Anya J. Cosgrove author of Shadow Walker.
Hi Anya, thank you for agreeing to this interview.
Tell us a bit about yourself?
I’m a French-Canadian veterinarian obsessed with fantasy, paranormal and romance in general! And I use way too many exclamation points!!!
How do you relax?
TV shows are probably my go-to escape from reality. Books, too, of course! And I love-love-love competitive or cooperative boards games like escape rooms in a box and such.
What is your favorite vacation destination?
Disney. Went in 2015 for the first time and I’m hooked!
What are some books you have enjoyed recently?
Wow, it’s hard to think of just one. Bearly Married by my friend Zoe Ashwood was a great read and took place near my hometown, and I loved it! I also read Four Psychos, my first reverse harem (wow!) and I just re-read Black Lies by Alessandra Torre.
For your writing where do you get your ideas?
Tv shows, books, dreams, movies, anywhere really! Sometimes, I have a really vivid dream that sparks up a new novel, but I often end up making up most of the details afterward.
Is there any particular author or book that influenced you in any way either growing up or as an adult?
Books changed my life in more ways than one. I met my husband working at a library when I was eighteen. 😀 Anne of Green Gables shaped my view of life. The Fever series by Karen Marie Moning inspired me to finish my first novel.
SHADOW WALKER
Please summarize the Shadow Walker a la Twitter style for the readers here:
A newborn witch is rescued by two sexy, mysterious brothers. Can she unravel their dark secrets? #loseyoursoul #huntdemons #fallinlove
Please share the opening lines of this book:
The stink of cheap alcohol and immaturity saturated the air of the huge condo-turned-dorm. Each room buzzed with college students, most of them complete strangers. Nothing extraordinary in sight, yet.
Monsters prefer to sneak up on you, much like an over-populated birthday party.
My best friend Kelly wanted to boost my social life, and I couldn’t fault her for being the champion of lost causes, but I hated surprises. And crowds.
Give us some insight into Alana and what does she do that is so special?
Alana is new to the supernatural world and sucks at witchcraft, at least at first. She learns from her mistakes, sometimes the hard way, and is strong and capable without being the strongest witch in the history of time.
Without revealing too much, what is your favorite scene in the book and why?
My favorite scene involves an action-packed fight, a hot pursuit, and a kiss that changes the characters forever. Can’t say more. 😉
Thank you very much for taking the time out of your busy schedule to take part in this interview.

A newborn witch is rescued by two smoking-hot brothers. Can she unravel their dark secrets? Or will she lose her soul trying?
Alana sucks at witchcraft. Healing, telepathy, seeing through illusions… she can’t master any of it.
Sparring with the six-foot-three muscular Walker brothers doesn’t help her focus. Alana’s not about to let herself fall for a man—or a demon—especially not the ones that abducted her in an attempt to save her life.
When a bitter demon learns of Alana’s existence, he’ll stop at nothing to possess her and drive a wedge between the two brothers. If Alana can’t learn to use her powers, she’ll die. If she can’t discern illusion from reality, she’ll lose her mind.
Nothing stays black and white in a world full of shadows.
Demons, witches, forbidden love… visit the otherworld today.
What would Buffy do? Kick ass!
