Library Lovers Book Tag!
How often do you visit your local library?
I visit my library once a week or every other week. I’m constantly stopping in to pick up the hold items I’ve got. Even with the online selection. I still like to have physical books in hand and with my kid, it’s easier for him to have a physical books for reading.
Now with COVID-19 our library is closed, but I can still go online and check out Audiobooks, eBooks, Movies, TV Shows, and Manga. Make sure to check out OverDrive and Hoopla for amazing library items.
Are you the type of person who checks out more books than you know you can read or are you someone who only checks out the exact amount of books you intend on reading before they are due?
OH MY GOD YES… I check out more books than I can read. That’s OK! I can always renew them and if I can’t I can always return them and then request the book again. I’ve picked up many many books that I’ve had to return or renew. I’m a mood reader and so, I’m always checking out more books than I can read.
How old were you when you got your first library card?
It was 1988 and I was 6-years-old. My son got his at 6 too. ^_^
Do you go to your library looking for a particular book or do you check out anything that peaks your interest?
I manly use the online website to request books and have them put on Hold. I love the Hold option, but I will sometimes just go to browse the shelves and see what might peek my interest.
Do you use your library to check out just books or do you also check out dvds, audiobooks etc.?
I check it ALL out. DVD’s, Physical Books, Digital Downloads of any kind: Audiobooks, eBooks, Movies, etc….
From what section of your library do you check out a majority of your books? ( YA, middle grade, adult, nonfiction.)
For me it’s Adult the Romance section, but I also check out a lot of Children’s books. My son is working on his reading and those I Can Read Books are amazing at helping him improve and become a more confident reader.
What is your favorite part of using your local library?
It’s FREE!!!! I can check out anything and as many times as I like. I love that my library also partners with other libraries in the area as well as the Hoopla app. I can always find the book I want in one formate or another in the library or on the online selection. Libraries Rock!!!
I’d love to hear from you and what you love about your library! Feel free to post your answers to the questions below or make your own post.

This is a great tag! I mostly use my library for audiobooks, but I’m also famous for checking out lots of books and then waiting until they’re due before I read them. 🙂

I totally get it about renewing and/or returning the book only to get it again and then renew it YET AGAIN ? If that’s not me, I don’t know what is. Lol. It’s so sad that all the libraries are closed right now, but you’re right! At least we still have ebooks and audiobooks!
Happy reading! ?
