This weeks topic is books I was SO EXCITED to get, but still haven’t read!

Protect The Prince & Crush The King by Jennifer Estep
I had my first taste of Jennifer Estep with her Elemental Assassin series which I love and still need to finish. My library is great; because they have the series. I picked up the Crown of Shads series when it first came out and was captivated by Kill The Queen, so I pre-ordered the next 2 books in 2019 & 2022. I meant to read them asap, but haven’t.

The Last Warrior by Jennifer Ashley
I’m a big fan of Ashley’s Shifter’s Unbound series and own all the novellas plus a few of the novels. I’m working on my collection ^_^. I pre-ordered The Last Warrior in 2021. As you can guess Tiger’s Daughter is coming out in 2022 and I’ve also got that one ordered.

Ride Dirty by Laura Kaye
I pre-ordered this novella back in 2018.  I first read Kaye back in 2017 when I picked up Ride Hard.  After that first novel I dived into the Raven Riders series.  I was on an MC & RS kick. It’s been on my shelf since 2018.

Rome’s Chance by Joanna Wylde
I pre-ordered this novella back in 2018.  I first read Wylde back in 2014 when I discovered Reaper’s Property at my library.  After the first book I dived into the rest of the Reapers MC series and then bought all the books. It’s been on my shelf since 2018.

Face Off by Mark Del Fanto
I bought this book after I read Skin Deep the first book in the Laura Blackstone series.  I was so excited to read the 2nd and only other book in the series.  It’s been on my self since 2018.

Seduced by a Demon King & Scorched by Darkness by Felicity Heaton
I love Heaton’s Elemental Mates series. I’ve been slowly working on my collection of the books. Their are currently 4 titles I haven’t read from the series, but Seduced by a Demon bought in 2020 & Scorched by Darkness bought in 2021. I’m hoping to read them this summer 2022.

I’d love to hear from you!
What books where you EXCITED to get, but HAVEN’T read?

  1. Great topic! I’ve got so many books I had to have and then let sit. Been working slowly through those. I’ve only read Rome’s Chance from your list and thought it was good.

    • I’ve got more books then these on my haven’t read list that I bought, but these I was so excited for. I’m thinking maybe this summer I’ll try to read a few. Glad you enjoyed Rome’s Chance. Thanks for visiting!

    • Me too. Thanks for sharing your post.

  2. 50 Shades of Grey. I won it when it first came out and was the talk of the year. I was so excited, but I was off romance and then heard how bad the writing really was and just lost interest. Seeing a few clips from the movie didn’t help at all.

Read all three books in the Kill the Queen series. It was OK, but much preferred Gin and her pals.

    • I never got into 50 Shades of Grey though I did jump on the Twilight band wagon and read/watch it all except the new title that just came out on Edwards perspective. I was all set to get it back then, but then the thing happened with the book and I never did. Now no rush to read it.

I need to get back to Gin and her pals. So many books, so little time ^_^. Thanks for visiting!

  3. I love Jennifer Ashley and that series.
