Welcome To June’s Monthly Wrap-Up
As I’m writing this I’m on vacation with the kid near Chicago. We went to visit grandparents on both sides of the family. It’s been a couple years since we traveled to the Chicago area. I’m manly the transportation, so the kid can have fun with grandparents. I’ve been chill’n and reading while the kid has been on the go doing loads of activities.
June was a nice month. At the start we were still all battling COVID, but we did all get better and the kid started summer camps. First up was half-day of tennis, which he loved. Then we did an all day cooking camp, which he also loved, but said it was a long day and he was tired by the end. Then a week off before we left on vacation and during that week we just hanged at home, went to the park or out for a walk. Mr. Angel got to use the car to drive to work instead of me driving him back and forth.
I read a lot in KU this month. I finished off a few series I’ve been enjoy. Binged a few more and tried out some new stuff. Not all of it worked, but you can see on Goodreads what I really liked.
Dragon’s Gap A Novella: Love’s Impulse, Ace & Harper’s Story (Dragon’s Gap #5), Thorn & Ciana’s Story, Ocean & Conor’s Story, The Alien’s Challenge (Drixonian Warriors Book 6), The Alien’s Savior, The Alien’s Equal, Survivor (Shifters of Consequence #1), Rejected (Shadow Beast Shifters, #1), Reclaimed, Reborn, Alpha’s Betrayal (Chosen By The Alpha, #1), Alpha’s Sacrifice, Wild Knight (Midnight Empire: The Tower, #1), Three Dog Knight, Deadly Knight, One Knight Stand, Possessive Alpha Wolf (Demon Hollowers Motorcycle Club #1), Ritual of Fire (The FBI Dragon Chronicles #1), Autumn Winters (Realm Watchers, #1), Burned by Magic (The Baine Chronicles, #1), Bound by Magic, Hunted by Magic, Marked by Magic, Betrayed by Magic, Deceived by Magic, & Homecoming Homicide (Magical Bureau of Investigation, #1).

I’m glad your kiddo got to enjoy camp post-covid and didn’t miss out on too much. Did you grow up in the Chicago area? It’s nice that your kid gets to visit both sets of grandparents. We live close to one set and we visit the other (mine) two – three times per year, but for a week each time, so my kids get all sorts of fun time. We have our annual trip/family reunion coming up at the end of this month/August. Happy summer!!

Both me and my hubby grew up near Chicago area. Both sets of grandparents still live there. We’re out in CA now, so we only see them when they visit or we head east. It’s been a while since we came east due to COVID, but now that things are semi normal we are traveling again. Have a great July!

Sounds like a really good month, despite having to start it off recovering from COVID! I can imagine being tired after a day of cooking – cooking is hard, physical work (on your feet, often on unforgiving floors)! Enjoy Chicago!

Yay for being back to healthy and having a fun start to summer. Love that you got to go visit family. Wow, way to go on the KU subscription. I liked Annabel Chase’s witches if this is the same author.
Have a great July, Angela!

It looks like a great month. We are hanging close to home (we have not had Covid) and we’re going into the it’s hot and we don’t like it 2 months of summer. We have plenty to do with reading, gardening, Lulu and crafts. My daughter has finals this week and then a month off before a big fall semester.
