Witch Harper Clarke is pretty sure misfortune follows her around like a bad smell. Her spells end in disaster, her dating agency for supernaturals has an embarrassing lack of clients, and her love life is a washout. So, when a vampire signs up to the agency and she can’t find him a match, she agrees to date the vamp herself.
Charmer Damon Vertefeuille has it all: power, status, and wealth. Becoming a vampire to get his errant brother out of trouble isn’t what he expected. Newbie vamps aren’t supposed to be dangerous, but one look at his witchy date and he has a sudden desire to sink his fangs into her pale flesh.
Thing is, she wants his bite.
Chemistry sizzles, but when Damon’s brother threatens to tear them apart, the lines blur between loyalty, love, and dark desires.
Dating a Vampire is book one in the Love Bites series by Abbey MacMunn.
The cute cover and blurb captured me and I wanted to like this, but it fell flat. It had a cute set up with our witch Harper’s dating agency not doing so well and her love life nonexistent. She decides to date the only supernatural to sign up to her dating agency since he’s a single vampire, powerful, and wealthy. What could go wrong?
The character’s could have been interesting, but for some reason they just didn’t click with me. The world and character’s lacked development. The jokes were mildly amusing and theirs a little drama with Damon’s brother causing issues.
As for the romance between Harper and Damon it ended up lacking in chemistry. I just wasn’t feeling the love.
Dating a Vampire is a quick easy read with very little depth to it. If the blurb intrigues you, I urge you to give it a shot. Just because it did not work for me does not mean it won’t for you.

It does look like a fun one, but too bad it didn’t click for you.

I really wanted it to click. It sounded so cute and the cover is cute, but it just didn’t hit the spot. Thanks for visiting!
