As an a’ani warrior, my life matters little. Cloned from the same matter as thousands of others, I am but one of many. Here on the ice planet, though, I can start over. I can become my own person, have my own needs, my own wants.

I know what I want. I have known since the moment I arrived.

Her name is Angie. She is human, with sad, lonely eyes and a very pregnant belly. To her, I am not just another clone. I am Vordis, the one who laughs at her jokes, tends to her needs, and makes her smile. I will do anything to make her mine.

But my brother and fellow clone Thrand thinks the same way, and he's just as determined to win her. Will I have to destroy my bond with my brother to win my female? Or will he cause a rift between us that's impossible to mend?

Angie’s Gladiator is book four in the Icehome series by Ruby Dixon.

This series needs to be read in order.

Angie was abducted by aliens. When she wakes up on the ice planet pregnant; she has no clue how she got that way or what kind of alien impregnated her.

Vordis is one of a thousand clones created to fight in the gladiator rings. He also has a clone brother Thrand. There on their way to a new owner, but the ship crashes on the ice planet. Both think it’s their job to protect Angie.

Angie is lonely, she feels apart from the other women who are also stranded on the ice planet, and she is attracted to Vordis, but feels it’s not right in her condition. Vordis doesn’t’ feel he’s worthy of Angie. Both yearn for each other. I liked their romance. Lots of chemistry and Vordis is so dedicated to Angie. It was sweet and adorable to see.

With all the novels in this series they are told in duel POV’s. I like this aspect. Dixon does a wonderful job with this world.

Angie’s Gladiator is a sweet read. I enjoyed the romance. If you enjoy sexy aliens then I recommend picking up a Dixon novel.

Rated: 4 Stars

  1. I already think he’s sweet because he doesn’t make a big deal of her pregnant with an alien baby and he thinks about his fellow clone. Ugh, I really need to get moving and read more of the series.

    • He’s such a sweet and so protective of bother her and his fellow clone. Its a great read. Thanks for visiting!
