When a lethal drug targeting paranormal citizens is unleashed on the streets of Atlanta, Hadley hits the clubs to pin down the dealer. The party is just getting started when a mysterious fae with his own agenda offers her a taste of power she can’t refuse if she wants to purge the evil from her city.
Hadley already owes Natisha seven beating hearts to satisfy their bargain, but the price the fae demands from Hadley might as well be her soul. He strips away her tiny spells, her necessary illusions, and leaves her bare to face judgement from the one person she never wanted to see her truth.
Now Hadley’s fate rests in Midas’s hands, and all she can do is hope the future she glimpsed for them doesn’t slip through his fingers.
Change of Heart is book three in the Potentate of Atlanta series by Hailey Edwards. Its another intense action-packed installment that delivers laughs, swoon worthy moments, and intense battles.
Potentate of Atlanta is a spin-off of the Beginner’s Guide to Necromancy and set in the same world. It’s a redemption ARC for Hadley along with her growing as a power, learning to control Ambrose and for her to realize she is enough. You do not have to have read Beginner’s Guide to Necromancy to read this series, but Potentate of Atlanta does need to be read in order.
We continue the over all ARC of the evil coven and killer cockroaches that just won’t die. This storyline is well developed and I had lots of emotions while reading Change of Heart. Hadley is continuing to develop in her skills and knowledge to become Potentate. She has doubts, but she is building her allies and friendships. I look forward to seeing how she handles the matters in Atlanta.
The biggest change in this installment is Hadley’s relationship with Midas. She’s his mate, but he hasn’t told her all the details; because he hopes to build their relationship. They slowly get to know each other better and their past and secrets are revealed.
Change of Heart was a splendid read and I very much enjoyed. Fans of Urban Fantasy should pick this author up. I highly recommend reading.

I stopped reading the Necromancy series after three books. It seems like it gets better. Maybe I should try again.

I finished the Beginner’s Guide to Necromancy and enjoyed. The story does get better. I wasn’t a fan and still not a fan of Boaz. I’m happy with who she ends up with. You can check out my reviews on the series: https://angelsguiltypleasures.com/category/beginners-guide-to-necromancy/

I really enjoyed this series. Somehow I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did.

Me too. I wasn’t a fan of Hadley especially what she did in the other series, but she grew on me.
