A Day in the Life of Tessa

 

Before I became a werewolf, I used to have a normal day, but not so much anymore. I’ve learned to go with the flow, because no matter what shit is going to happen. That said, Dastien and I usually start the day with a run—most of the time in human form. I like to listen to music when running, and it’s not exactly easy to wear earbuds as a wolf. 😉 

There’s always a lot of eating. And now that I’m on the new council, a lot of checking with other Alphas. I’m leaving the covens and fey courts to Claudia and Cosette unless they ask for help. But the Alphas are keeping me busy enough. I go on patrol a few times a week, but have been called out of bed on my nights off. It’s annoying, but part of the job.

The other thing I’ve been doing is watching a ton of HGTV. Dastien and I are starting to think about what we want our house to look like. At first, I wasn’t sure what I wanted, but we’re slowly figuring it out. Mostly by ruling things out we don’t like and seeing what’s left.

My parents keep asking about college, but I’m not too worried about that yet. I’ve got so much on my plate with the council (which still needs a name!) that I don’t know when I’d find the time. And with no word when or if St. Ailbe’s will open again, I still don’t know what’s going to happen with that whole graduating high school thing. 

Dastien has been helping me train a lot, which is fun. Claudia, Beth, Shane, and River have been helping me with my witchcraft, which is less fun. They all have such different takes on magic, and for every one thing I learn, there seems to be ten more that I don’t. Magic is like a giant can of worms…

Chris is still missing, but Cosette hasn’t given up looking for him. For now, I’m just biting my nails and waiting. I know if she needs me, she’ll say something. Right? 

Shit. I guess I better text her again. :/
