Memos: Top Ten Tuesday, Book Blogger Hop, & Tell Me Something Tuesday!

Posted on by

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and for more information check out her blog. Each week a new Top Ten list will be featured. Everyone is welcome to join! A list of 10 is just a suggestion, but you can do a list of 3 or 5 or 20.

April 23: (First Ten) Books I Reviewed (These do not have to be formal reviews. A small sentence on a retailer site or Goodreads counts, too! Submitted by Rissi @ Finding Wonderland)

I can do this a few different ways; the first reviews I ever wrote on the blog, the first reviews I wrote on Goodreads for 2019, 2018, etc.., but I picked to list my first ten reviews I posted in 2019 on the blog.

Book Blogger Hop hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week they have a new book related question you can answer. If you are interested in finding out more, the next weeks question, and/or participating then stop by the Book Blogger Hop page.

19th – 25th – Do you check how many views your posts have received? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews)

Nope. I rarely look at my views.

Tell Me Something Tuesday hosted by Rainy Day Ramblings.

This week question: Do you like getting unsolicited books in the mail?

I don’t get unsolicited books in the mail, but I do get them in my email. I have a Review Request Policy page and many don’t even look at it. They just do this generic email and send their book. I roll my eyes at that. No wonder so many books pop up on pirated sites.

I’d love to hear from you.
Answer this weeks fun memos or just say HI!

  1. Like you, I don’t get unsolicited books in the mail but I do get them in emails.

    • I think if I had started blogging when the book blogs took off I’d be getting books in the mail, but ya the emails are my issue. Thank’s Mary for committing and visiting.

  2. Lots of ways you could have done this week’s TTT. First ten of 2019 is a great choice!

    • I know. that TTT was not specific, so I went with first ten of 2019 on the blog. Thank’s Nicole for visiting.

  3. Hot Listens doesn’t have a review policy page because we don’t want to get unsolicited review requests. Fun that you put all these posts together.

    • My review request page currently says I’m not accepting, but even when I first started to blog I didn’t have a policy page and I still got review requests. Some ppl don’t take the time to check. I just politely reply saying no thank you.
Thank’s Melanie for visiting and commenting.

  4. Unsolicited books make me feel so guilty. I know I shouldn’t feel obligated to review, especially when the sender obviously hasn’t read my blog to see what kind of books I read. So this really annoys me.

    • If your library takes donations on those physical books then it’s a way to not feel so guilty and pass them onto someone else. If I received a lot of physical unsolicited books in a genre I don’t read then that’s what I’d do. But ya, I feel guilty not reviewing, but I also don’t want to read something I feel I won’t enjoy. Thank’s Tanya for visiting and sharing your issues with unsolicited books. Have a great Easter Weekend!
